“Welcome to Paradise in Paros”
Reviewed July 31, 2010

We stayed in the Cyclades Studios in June '10 with two other friends, we had been to Paros 3 times before with a tour company but this year we decided to go under our own steam. We contacted Thanos by e-mail to book our 2 weeks holiday and later spoke to him by telephone regarding the timings of the ferries - as we flew to Mykonos, he was very helpful and told us he would pick us up at the port. From the moment we arrived the family could not have been more helpful, friendly and kind, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were cleaned daily and they were spotless. The gardens surrounding the apartments were very picturesque and a lot of thought had gone into the layout. Shady areas are provided under the trees. Some lovely gestures from Maria and Thanos were most welcome such as being presented with waffles, jam, home-made cake, cherries etc, etc. Thanos and his father Costas are a mine of information about Paros regarding beaches and restaurants. One day Costas was very hot and when we told him it was about 61 degrees in England he said: Give me your tickets and I will go there now!! The location of the studios is great, it's about 2 minutes stroll down to the beach, and the same to the bakery. The friendliness was not skin deep, it was the same when we were going home as when we arrived. We can honestly recommend the Cyclades Studios for a wonderful stay. No down sides whatsoever. Thank you Thanos, Costas and Maria.

Stayed at the studios in June for our third visit. Thanos met us at the port and greeted us as part of the family. Before we had unpacked Thanos and his mother Maria brought coffee, cake and fruit and we all sat down and had a chat to catch up on what we had been doing since our last visit and Thanos's visits to the UK. The first morning we got up to get breakfast and found that Maria had set the table and provided our breakfast. What a superb family. Towards the end of our stay it became apparent another strike had been called and to ensure we would catch our flight home we would have to leave a day early.Once again Thanos came to the rescue taking me to the hotel to use the internet to book a hotel in Athens.
We have already booked for June 2011 and are looking forward to seeing Thanos and his family for a longer stay this time.

We've traveled quite a bit, and Paros was our third Greek location on this trip. I have to admit, tho, this was a little bit of a culture shock. It was very, very clean, but very, very stark. Twin beds (we offered to pay more for a double bed, but the only other room in the whole place with a double bed was already taken!!!), rough blankets for bedspread, no amenities. It was close to the main part of town and a number of excellent restaurants. This was what I consider was more of a "Greek experience"--not a resort, by any stretch of the imagination. Breakfast was also stark--Nescafe, tea, boiled egg (one for each of us!!), prepackaged muffin, and, of couse, bread. You can get a "real" breakfast for just a few Euros down the street. The desk clerk was rarely around, but did offer a few suggestions the couple of times we ran into him. Costas was great fun. He was friendly and informative, and it was a pleasure to meet him!! It's not a place that I would stay again, but it wasn't bad.

This place was recommended to me by my manager who stayed there last year. We stayed in the studios, my daughter who is 18 and me. We were so well looked after, from being picked up at the airport on arrival, to bringing us cherries and other fruit, and lots of information about restaurants, boats, trips etc. - Thanos was a complete gem and such a source of information too. The studios were cleaned daily with fresh towels, which I wasn't expecting - and the air conditioning was a godsend! all in all such a great stay, with a little balcony for sitting out for breakfast and in the evenings - although it was too hot to do that some mornings!

A small "proper Greek" hotel run by a lovely family who can't do enough for you, Maria, Kostas and Thanos are a shining example of Greek hosptality. If you are staying in Parikia and know your Greece there is no better place to stay.

Has to be the best place I have ever stayed in paros. Family owned and run. We were picked up at the port by Thanos as if we were old friends and were looked after for the entire holiday. The family come from Paros and their knowledge of the island and what is going on is second to none; I would recommend staying here to anyone who wants a quiet holiday.
