We had only reserved a room at Marisa rooms for one night, but we ended up staying there altogether 3 nights! The rooms were very clean and comfortable with a nice balcony.
Everything is close: supermarket, bakery, fruit store, restaurants, the beach... The center of Parikia and the port is just maybe 5 min away. Still we were picked up by the owner late in the evening!
June is lovely time to visit Paros. The sea is already warm enough for snorkeling and there are not that many tourists on the islands... Fell in love with the Greek Islands!

Thanks Marissa and your family for kick starting our Greek island holiday, and helping us get our holiday groove on. We had planned to stay only one day, but on waking on the first morning we decided to stay, one more, and then one more and one more. We arrived off the Blue Star ferry at about 10.30pm. Marissa was there to meet us and drive us back to her guest house where she has about five or six rooms. Our room was small, but comfortable. Everything was clean. And the rooms beat a lot of five star places on some of my indicators: Free fast wifi; a clothes line on the little balcony to hang clothes to dry in the sun; the little balcony of the room to sit and have a glass of wine in the afternoon; and (extra bonus points) the “hand towels” are big enough to wrap around my head when I’ve washed my hair.
Marissa serves breakfast on the terrace – simple fare but enough to start the day with some fresh bread, yummy honey, and strong tasty coffee. Breakfast is also a chance to say “hi” to fellow lodgers and catch up with their plans for today and adventures from yesterday.
And the price: “cheaper” – Marissa has reset my usual standard preference for five star hotel accommodation. I could not believe I could stay somewhere so cheap and love it so much. Thanks.
Paros in May was a delight. The port town was just waking up from its winter break. Buildings and churches and streets were all being whitewashed. Cats were surprised to see tourists wandering around the streets in the early morning before they had breakfast. Dogs were back from boarding kennels and keen to be patted by tourists who were missing their own pups from home.
There is a beautiful Byzantine church (the nicest I’ve seen) and it was nice to sit here for half an hour early Sunday morning and listen to the bible read in greek and to soak in the spiritutality.
The archaeological museum is also an understated treat.

Room Tip: there is a gym next door if you need a fitness centre, or you could just go for lots of walks up and...

The hotel is in a good location just a 5 minute walk to the beach or town. There are many restaurants in the area and Carre Four supermarket is just a 5 minute walk in the other direction. The lady who runs the hotel will pick you up at the port and drop you off. She gave us a map and lots of helpful information on where to go and where to see the sunset. She brought us wine and chips one night which was really nice of her. The wifi worked well in our room . The best part was the shower, it was a decent size, had hot water and was tall enough that you could have a decent shower instead of some of the hand held showers in Greece. There is a shared veranda on the second floor which was nice. The TV in our room was very quiet and one of the speakers didn't work. The hotel lobby is the owners living room and it has a hostel like feel . If you want to pay with credit card then you should confirm with the owner on arrival that the machine is working, as there was a problem with it when we were there.

I had the pleasure of staying here for 10 days last summer and it was simply superb. It was very clean, central with the beach, shops and places to eat all very close. The owners were very friendly and could not do enough for you.I enjoyed it so much that i am going again this year for 15 days and simply cannot wait to return to Paros and staying at the Marisa rooms.highly recommended!

Room Tip: If you want to stay in a central area and want peace and quiet as well, theserooms are ideal.

It was clean, great location, great Internet and the staff went right out of there way to help us, we were having trouble leaving the island and getting flights from Athens and they helped throughout the whole stay to help us organize things, we also had to book another night and they were understanding and made room for us, you don't come across staff like this very often at hotels at such a reasonable price defiantly recommend

my friends are i are trying to backpack thru the greek islands on a budget and it is nigh on impossible to find hostels but the price here is great! Our wonderful host dropped everything to pick us up from the port before offering us drinks on arrival. they were very helpful with information on the area, transport and dinning options. it is not situated in the city center but is just 5 minute stroll to the port and city centre. The 3 bed room we were given was spacious, very well looked after and featured air conditioning. we have a spacious bathroom, two balconies one with a small clothesline outdoor table and chairs, indoor table and chairs, kitchen, stove, fridge, TV and we could pick up the wifi from our room - we we only here for 3 days but i could have stayed here for weeks with all the facilities and space! i feel so guilty but whenever we returned we would find our chaotic room with beds made and all the chaos on them neatly folded and or organised by the most incredible hosts ever!!! (the bus stop to Kolimbithres or Lefkes is at the end of the street (a 1 minute walk) its infront of the minimart where you can buy tickets and the is the paros gym next door to if you feel so inclined )

My friend and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Marisa Rooms. A charming location not a 10 minute walk from the main port, and a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach, Lavidia....covered in bougainvilleas and beautiful facilities, cleaned each day...Family owned, an authentic Greek experience you won't regret :)
