“Excellent Bungalow Hotel...Just Beautiful!”
Reviewed June 27, 2014

The Yria Bungalow hotel is first class in every way. The location, about
10 minutes by taxi from the main port of Parikia, is convenient for the multitude
of tavernas, bars and boutique shops, but is quietly on its own, away from the
noise and bustle of a typical small Greek island port. The bungalows and
grounds are immaculate and a riot of colour, fruit trees, and shaded walkways.
The main building, half-open to the seemingly ever-blue skies, with lots of
welcome shade, is just beautiful, and features a huge very pretty swimming
pool.

The bungalows are individual doubles and each has its own shaded and
separated patio, with outside table and chairs, just wonderful for quiet reading
or an evening aperitif. The restaurant and bar offer both inside and outside,
but shaded, attractive tables. The breakfasts are as unassuming or comprehensive
as you wish, and the somewhat limited dinner menu offers excellent meals,
but Relais & Chateaux it is not. Snacks can be had at any time. But who dines
in a hotel, while in a typical Greek island with its many tavernas, offering fish
caught that morning?

Throughout, at Yria, service levels are exemplary. Quietly attentive, with just
the right level of personalisation. On arrival, you are greeted with a welcome cold
towel and an iced fruit cocktail. Luggage is whisked away and next seen in your
bungalow, while you relax for a while in the sumptuous chairs overlooking
the pool and patios.

Yria is about a 5 minute walk down an unsurfaced lane to the beach and sea.
The beach is not well tended and is somewhat stoney and course. There is a
public snack bar available. Not a great beach experience.

The bungalows offer roomy, cooled bedrooms, which are comfortable.
A negative is the lack of electrical outlets, particularly for a laptop, although
there is reliable Wifi. The roomy stand-up showers could do with a little more
water-pressure, but this is a Greek island and everything is not quite 21st century!
Overall, the Yria has very little to complain about and much (MUCH) to commend it.
Just great for comfort, quiet, blazing colour everywhere, and very close to
the port attractions of Parikia. Yria is not for young children.

Room Tip: Yria has some 60-odd individual bungalows and is spread over quite a large area, so if you have a m...

We went here for our honeymoon. We were a bit hesistant due to some of the reviews. Upon arrival we were greeted with a cold towel and fresh drinks. After a long ferry ride this was exactly what we wanted. The hotel staff were so friendly. They surprised us with rose pedals in our bedroom with towel swans and sweets all already for us. We stayed at the junior suite and it was perfect. The resort is close to the paroparos beach. It was roughly 4 min walk. The resort was very clean and I love the pool. It's very clean and the service was excellent. I can't stress enough how wonderful the staff made us feel. Every single staff there made such an effort to make our stay comfortable and welcomed. We stayed at 4 hotels during our honeymoon and this is hands down best resort we stayed at. We also booked all 5 stars. But this resort was extra special because of the staff.

I highly recommend this resort!!! The food is also amazing and reasonable priced.

Thank you!

Basking in the sun right next to the pool with a refreshing beverage in hand, I enjoy the sun and the relaxing atmosphere. I decided to share my feelings through tripadvisor, to give the manager a thumbs up. So, here it is: Yria resort is the ideal place to stay when in Paros. A blend of cycladic style and cosmopolitan allure enhanced by luxury details such as the amazing spa massages at the kiosk, the gorgeous garden and of course the pool bar where I spent several evenings relaxing after a day at the beach. The personnel has been attentive yet discreet and the location a big plus. Overall, for me, Yria Resort has been the backstage of a great, unforgettable experience. I will always cherish the days I spent there and I look forward to be back soon -hopefully once more this summer!

Room Tip: I stayed at the junior suite, but I will always regret not opting for the villa. Next time, I will d...

we chose Yria to spend our honeymoon (we stayed for 10 days) and it was proved to be the best choice! The staff was amazing and went above and beyond the call of duty.... we relaxed and enjoyed every single moment in the resort and the beach in front. the spa (and more specifically the candle massage) was so rejuvenating and relaxing.. definitely a unique experience.
We will never forget those beautiful gardens; thousands of trees, thousands of flowers, thousands of smells... Paradise must be something like this!
the room was really nice, beautiful furnitures and ambience. we had booked a deluxe room, but as we were honeymooners, we were upgraded to a junior suite. It was very kind of them.
The only negative was that we travelled during August and we couldn't find a car for rental.. we should had booked earlier. But really we didn't care, nobody wants to escape from Paradise!!!

Visit this hotel!
It was my second stay; so what’s important to know:
- Only go during the shoulder season
- Be prepared for an absolute relaxing atmosphere
- This hotel is located within fields and pastures. It’s very quiet.
- It’s a honeymooner hotel but kids are welcome
- Fantastic pool, deep and long, with a small kids section.
- Sophisticated lounge area overlooking the pool.
- Very friendly and discreet staff with an unhurried efficiency.
- Book a room with a garden view.
- Rooms are well equipped, very stylish and clean.
- Bathrooms are rather small and slightly outdated.
- Beds are small.
- Breakfast is calmly served (!) at the garden restaurant and it’s fresh and good.
-> Extended hours until 12am would be great!
- The restaurant offers a range of European delights and good wines.
- Good pool bar and sunchair service including Italian espresso.
- Exquisite spa area.
- The gym is very rudimentary unfortunately.
- Very nice and safe beach with a good taverna within a very short walking distance.
- Supreme garden work!! Wonderful lawns, plants and flowers everywhere.
- Unique: the tiny chapel
- Weak but available WIFI throughout the premises.

Undisputedly the very best hotel on Paros!

Room Tip: Peripheral with a garden view

I was in Paros last July and I stayed at Yria Resort following my cousin's recommendation who had already stayed at this resort a year ago. I loved it. Our room was delightful, the breakfast in the garden has been one of the day's higlights and the pool is simply amazing for some lounging. Everybody was extra friendly and eager to serve us 24/7. I would go back at a heart beat and highly recommend it. I am already checking the offers to make a reservation for next summer. Great place!

Room Tip: I loved my room, but next time I'll try to find the suite, that was not available for the period...
