We had vegetarian food in all the islands we visited, but the food here was not only delicious but very creatively done. The stuffed mushrooms won us on the first time we dined here. That set the tone for all the evenings in Paros. It was a date with Elaia every other evening. The ambience was perfect in this lovely little town. Very good service and friendly staff.
I agree to what others have said, worth at least one visit when you are in the neighborhood.

If you find yourself in the town of Paroikia, walking along the seafront, wondering which of the tavernas might harbor food worthy of the mythic legacy of Greece. The fact that you are reading this now, I hope will allow you to experience such an ambrosian feast. Elaea is a epicurean sanctuary that allows transcendence to the highest level of pleasure embodied in the MUSSELS SAGANAKI - it makes the parthenon look like an eyesore. The grapeleaves were the best we had after samplings in Mykonos, Santorini, and Athens. Our server himself was like a Hermesian messenger of gourmandism. The bread was like the body of Zeus, perfect for dipping in the saganaki sauce.

We had a wonderful dinner there to celebrate our daughter's wedding and the owners did everything they could to entertain us. The food was very fresh, the atmosphere very enjoyable and we had a really great time. I would like to go back one day and experience the taste of Paros.

The food there seemed to be fresh and the menu somewhat in the"nuveau greek"line.Their every dish was sprinkled on with parsley, etc.though,to induce eye appeal.Well...it didn't to it for me.Good selection of local Parian and other Greek wines.Good and friendly service with linnen table cloths. On the pricy side of life!Do it if you are in need of a change.
