While the prices were more than average compared to other place in Paros, the ambience was very nice. They had a nice Greek wine list. Salads were very nice, and the grilled octopus in ouzo sauce exceptional spin off on a favorite dish of mine. I think I need to try other dishes as well, as I was not wild about the chicken souvlaki wrapped in bacon. But with a careful eye you can get a nice meal run by a proud family who make you feel very welcome. Put it on your list if you have a special occasion you won't be disappointed

Birthday dinner with a surprise - during our dinner the staff learned that it was my birthday. Without any previous hints or warnings all lights in this very nice outdoor restaurant with flowers and threes everywhere were dimmed and our very hospitable female waiter entered with a surprise dessert for two "on the house"... with sparkling fountains in the ice cream and chocolate... thank you for that!.

Perfect surroundings, centrally located, extensive menu and reasonable prices for a restaurant this type, very service minded staff and definitely a place to go.

My husband and I had an enjoyable meal here. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and is presented beautifully with white linen table cloths and napkins which was a welcome break from the tiny paper napkins that are useless. The food selection is good and has a lot of what one might expect for Greece, however a slightly more fancy version. The prices are a few euro extra than some of the other restaurants in town but I think it is worth it. The restaurant was starting to get busier as we left and I think they could have done with an extra staff member or two but we were lucky that our service was good.

From the initial greeting by the elegant co-owner/hostess, Eleni, to the lovely garden setting, the service and the food, this is a special place. Tucked away in the attractive alleys of Paroikia, the restaurant is set back from the busy foot traffic. We had a delicious beet root/peach and cheese salad, pork in a yummy lemony cream sauce, and tasty lamb kebabs but too much gristle.

We were attracted to dine at Dionysos by the lovely garden setting, the nicely laid out tables, the nice menu and the welcome from the lady patron. It is a lovely place for an evening meal.
Having chosen a table and just begun to peruse the menu, we became aware of water being poured for us and a bottle of mineral water being left on our table. We had not ordered it, we had not been asked if we wanted it, it was a true fait accompli.
We doubted it was complimentary and indeed this proved to be so when it appeared as a chargeable item on our bill.
Having been taken by surprise, we then watched with some astoundment as the same waiter repeated this with every newly seated table whilst they were engrossed with their menu choice. What was so outrageous was that he had already broken the seal on the bottle whilst crossing the garden patio and the action of pouring the water and leaving the bottle was so slickly performed that it was barely discernable by the diners.
It was therefore no surprise to us that we found ourselves declining the bread brought to our table unordered, a strange action when my meal was already served with pitta bread.
We chose not to complain as we had no intention of creating an unpleasant atmosphere over a few euros to spoil our meal. However we felt so disillusioned by the bottled water stunt that we decided to forgo ordering wine and desert and we chose to have these in a cafe further along the street.
Our food was very nice, but why any restaurant should choose to act in such a way for a few extra euros is beyond my understanding. In doing so, it determined that we would not return and lost many more euros in revenue than resulted from it's shady bottled water practice.
