Paliomylos Spa Hotel
Ranked #4 of 45 Hotels in Naoussa

As soon as we arrived in Paros, we took a taxi from the taxi rank at the Port into Naoussa. This is the only place we did not make a Hotel reservation. There were about 50 people standing at the Port wanting you to book their Hotel....we just walked past them and said " No, thank you ". I had chosen from the reviews on Trip Advisor about 2 or 3 hotels close to each other and thought, as it was mid September, that someone would have a room. So we pulled up outside Paliomylos. They had a Junior suite that was only 10 Euro more per night than a studio room, so we took it.

It is a lovely suite with balcony that overlooked the pool. It had a Kitchen and separate lounge/sitting room. I thought that the kitchen part was beginning to show age even though the decor was modern and nice elsewhere in the apartment. If you wanted to self cater, you had the opportunity to.

A lovley breakfast was served between 9 - 11 so this shows you that this is a sleep in type of Island Hotel and life does not start early. We went down at 8.45am one morning and the doors were shut and did not open until precisely 9 am.

It was convenient enough to Naoussa centre, but still about a 10-15 minute walk. In the same street were several other hotels too. Alexandros, Adonis, Augusta Apartments, Stefano Apartments, Alpha Studios and Manis Inn was alittle below us. As we walked past them, they all had their own charm. I chose it because it was walking distance to Piperi Beach but as it turned out for the days we were there, it was so windy, no one was on the beach.

Staff were friendly and polite.
I you have no car and walking is a problem, I would stay closer to the main centre of Naoussa, but it was fine for us.

On arrival I was given a studio with a balcony over the pool with a seaview, but it was small and not as nicely furnished as this hotel’s rooms on the booking.com and TripAdvisor websites. I asked for another studio at reception, and was given a really nice free upgrade. The bedroom had a double bed and its own balcony. There was also a completely private and spacious patio outside with a view of Naoussa port and a comfortable sofa with a large thai style wooden table to see it from and two big candles as well for night time. It would be very romantic for a couple on holiday.  There was another room with sofa, dining table and chairs plus a kitchenette with plenty of cutlery and crockery (a toaster, kettle and microwave/oven would have made it perfect). It was all stylishly furnished and very clean. The bathroom could do with some renovation but Kosta the owner has renovated half of the bathrooms already and when the season closes very shortly, he is going to have the bathrooms in all the remaining studios/apartments done. He is also having a spa with a hot/cold tub installed for next year (there is already a swimming pool).

Breakfast is a comfortable 9-11am and there is a great view of Naoussa port from the breakfast area too. Proper filter coffee awaits you, and as well as yoghurt and honey, fruits, cereals, bread, cheese, meats and sweet pastries being available each day, there are scrambled egg and boiled eggs sometimes (it would be nice if those were there every day). The apartment has been cleaned each time I get back from breakfast, which is great, as you then aren’t pressured to leave the room by a certain time.

Kosta will arrange economical car hire with the car brought to the door of the hotel, which at this time of year, when the season is drawing to a close, is necessary, as the buses suddenly get scarcer. There is a petrol station close by too. He wlll also organize a taxi from Parikia port to the hotel in advance of your arrival and the driver will be there with a sign for the hotel. A minimarket and bakery are not far away and very close by is the most wonderful patisserie/ice cream and dessert shop. The owner speaks English too. The business has been there 47 years and is the oldest patisserie on the island. Quite a find.

Getting to town is a bit of a trek if you are walking and then you will probably get lost in the maze of streets too and walk some kilometers there until you know your way around. So on the first night, if you don’t know the town and if you haven’t hired a car and are getting on a bit in life, I suggest you get a taxi back from the town square to the hotel after your night out.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and will go back again when I return to Paros, my favourite island in the Cyclades; Mykonos and Naxos are lovely islands, but from an all round point of view, including beaches, museums, scenic views and food and wine, they don’t match Paros.

I stayed at Paliomylos Hotel for 6 ENJOYABLE days.It was the best service I ever received at a hotel.Mr Costas the manager, was always there to help us and give us the correct directions.
Just from eating the marvelous buffet breakfast I gained 4 pounds. The view from the hotel is very-very romantic and the distance to Naoussa is only a few minutes walk.I definitely recommend Paliomylos Hotel for your vacations.
Mr Costas thank you for everything. We certainly will visit you again next year.

The Paliomylos hotel exceeded our expectations by far when we visited Paros in July 2012. We stayed for three nights total, but after our experience at this hotel we wished we could have stayed much longer. The hotel is in a great location - only about a 10 minute walk from the heart of Naoussa. The rooms are clean and charming, and the surrounding area is peaceful and quiet. We were impressed that literally every aspect of the hotel, both indoors and out, was well-maintained. The hotel offers a very good quality continental breakfast on the terrace with a beautiful view of Naoussa and the sea. The staff was so kind and hospitable; they offered many suggestions regarding local restaurants and beaches, and they even allowed us to store our luggage with them for a few hours after we checked out. Overall we highly recommend this hotel to both Greeks and tourists alike!

We chose Paliomylos hotel based on the excellent reviews online. Based on what I saw on the website: pictures, reviews, etc, before booking, this hotel ended up exceeded our expectations. I went to this hotel with a couple of friends and it was nice to have such friendly hotel owners, always willing to help us with any questions we had. We loved everything about the hotel and have recommended it to our parents for when they visit the island of Paros! The rooms are very spacious, modern, super clean and the view is amazing. A BONUS would definetely be the "American" style washrooms.(A definate plus for when you are touring in Europe). We loved the town of Naoussa, which is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
Thank you Costas and Christa for the unbelievable hospitality! I will definetely be returning in the near future!

We chose the Paliomylos hotel based on all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor and we weren't disappointed one bit!

We stayed for three nights at the beginning of September so the hotel, along with the rest of Paros, was reasonably quiet. This was perfect for us as it meant we were upgraded to a larger room with a huge patio area overlooking the sea that was furnished with an outdoor sofa and armchair. There was a gazebo at one point too but the high winds meant it had to be taken down for fear of it flying off to Mykonos for a drink at Jackie O's...

Our room was spotlessly clean and nicely furnished with a comfortable double bed that we could lie in while watching the sea through the doors of our balcony. We had a second room with a two seat sofa, table and chairs and large wardrobe that we hardly used but was a nice "to have". The kitchenette and bathroom were adequate and although the shower was slightly awkward it did the job.

The pool was a good size with plenty of sunbeds for the number of people staying at the hotel while we were there. We guess the pool area could get a little busy in high season but we prefer the beach anyway so that wouldn't be a problem for us.

Breakfast was continental style (cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc) and had everything we needed plus a couple of naughty pastries if we fancied. If you want something more substantial like an omelette or a fry up you can order from a selection at an extra charge.

There are plenty more positives I could go on about; the good wifi (by Greek standards), the great location, the brilliant owners, etc, etc, etc but I think I've said enough to convince you that this is a great choice if you're travelling to Paros anytime soon. Maybe we'll see you when we're back next year!
