A long time ago I have visited this castle but there are a lot of postive changes. The castle is small but enough free parking places nearby. The rooms are in romantic style with old touch. The wifi is well also inside thick walls. The restaurant is very old and romantic a really eyecatcher with knights. The menue is small, the dishes well and not old traditional.Good drinks in wide selection. The staff from reception until the restaurant always friendly and helpful.

We booked 2 nights here with our little girl and it´s a romantic Castle Hotel where you can taste the old atmosphere. Wish I could travel in time a bit... Breakfast was well prepared and also dinner was wonderful. Good service and clean rooms. In the Suite I missed some hangers in the Bathroom for our towels or Bathrobes.

Really enjoyed the opportunity to spend the night in a castle! Make sure to specify whether you want a room in the castle itself, which may cost more, or the annex, which isn't directly part of the castle.

There is an upper castle on the grounds which is mostly ruins, but was great to wander around. Cute and fun location for a night. Any more time then that and the you may run out of things to do.

The restaurant was a little pricey but delicious.

Front desk staff and restaurant staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in two double rooms during our tour of the brothers Grimm fairy tale route to visit Marburg. The hotel is not expensive, the rooms are spacious. The bed and deco was rustic and simple not luxurious but this castle hotel has its charm. The reataurant was great and served great food. We loved the woods in the grounds of the hotel a bit spooky with old ruined towers and quite mystical.

Room Tip: Rooms are nice not luxurious but simple and comfortable.

Approximately 45 minutes from Frankfurt, and adjacent to Giessen, easy access to good roads. There was ample free parking.

A mixture of old world castle and a more modern extension. My room in the extension was clean and tidy. The staff were very welcoming and spoke excellent English.

Was a little surprised to find that the bar only opens at 10pm. This meant having to use the restaurant to get a drink earlier in the evening.

The restaurant was excellent, slightly expensive, but all the food was well presented and of a very high standard. The restaurant is in the old part of the castle and is medieaval themed.

Breakfast is served in a different location and there was an ample buffet with a good selection of hot and cold foods.

All in all a very pleasant hotel and I would use again if I had the need to be in this part of Germany again. I would have liked to have had a little more time to explore the area.
