Hotel Global

This is a very nice hotel inside. The hotel seems to be well maintained and the rooms are quite large for Europe. The breakfast is quite good and begins at 6:00am. It is situated in a commercail area of the city not too far from the airport. But it is about a five minute drive from the Autobahn to the hotel. There is free parking around the outside of the hotel. Since it is not directly at the airport, the rooms are free of the usual airport noises.

For one or two nights, this is a very good option. This is especially true given the very reasonable price of the room.

Located in a quite quiet surroundings, not most pleasant, but everything is available nearby.
Hotel itself is turkish orientated and well equipped for a three star rating.
Breakfast is generous, fresh and tasty, though I missed sweet bakery.
Comfortable and spacious rooms with opening windows.
Around the corner there is Avocado restaurant which is recommendable for dinner.
About ten km from the airport.

Room Tip: First floor for smokers

The hotel is Turkish-owned and you can tell by the design, turkish-arabian with a modern twist. There are some slightly kitsch decorations, The lighting is interesting, to say the least. There are some eating places nearby, but otherwise it's pretty empty suburbia.

The Good:
The staff were very friendly and knew my name on the second day.
The rooms are large, well-appointed and spotlessly clean. Beds are comfy, showers have a rain and a detachable head. Not a lot of amenities, just shower gel and soap. There is some free water and a little fridge.
I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Lovely bread, a good selection of cooked foods, cold meat, cheese, jam, muesli etc.
Close to the airport (10min and 25 € in a taxi or 20 min and 2.50 € on the bus).
Considering the proximity to Frankfurt and the airport, this hotel is very good value for money.

The bad:
The gym is a typical small hotel gym. There are a couple of cardio machines, one combo weight machine and a punching bag. Not even a set of dumbbells as shown on their website.

The ugly:
Internet is very flaky. That's bad for a mom-and-pop hotel, but unacceptable for a business hotel. I had to go down to the lobby for reliable internet. In the room the WiFi disconnected every couple of minutes and sometimes didn't work altogether. This is the reason why I didn't give the hotel more than three points overall, otherwise it would have easily scored four.

Room Tip: Some rooms have very bad WiFi.

We had 2 stays at Global Hotel as we had to wait a day to go to our destination and home, we chose Global as it is close to FRA (Frankfurt Airport), the hotel is clean, staff friendly and helpful, neighbourhood safe, buffet breakfast thats included is great. There are some restaurants and shopping within 5 minutes walk, this is a good hotel if you have to spend a night to catch your connecting flight the next day, close to airport, comfortable room and good value for the money, we will stay again if we have to overnight in FRA

Plenty of shoebox-hotels around Frankfurt airport, so this hotel is a nice alternative at a very reasonable price (we paid 65 EUR breakfast included).

Hotel has a spacy lobby, big and comfortable rooms and a generous breakfast is served in the nicely decorated dining room.It all comes with a sometimes bizarre (light scheme!) middle eastern flavour. No alcohol, no bar.

You definitely will need gps to find this place.

If you're looking for a hotel right at the airport, this isn't it. But the price also indicates that (as well as Google maps/directions). But if you have a car and need a place to stay before a long flight, I recommend this place. I stay in quite a few hotels for work, and many in this price range are crap. This one exceeded my expectations. Yes, it is in a small town, but it is about 15 minutes to the airport by car. I've stayed at one of the hotels at the airport, paid twice the price and got less for it. No minibar, but who buys from that anyway? Two free bottles of water were included in our double room... something I greatly appreciate (rather than paying 3€ for a tiny bottle from most minibars). The bed was comfortable. Yes, the blue lights and striped wallpaper on the floor was trippy... stepping out of the lift required stopping for a second to not get dizzy. But that is minor... and that is one thing I will remember from the hotel! Haha!!! The breakfast was fantastic, with a mix of warm and cold food (mainly Turkish and German). The room was very large, as was the bathroom (with an amazing shower head). I'd stay here again to catch a morning flight from FRA... but again, only if I had a car to get me from hotel to airport.

I stayed here to get a hot meal and a good night's sleep when I had a 17-hour layover between flights in Frankfurt. It's 1.5 miles from FRA as the crow flies, but because taxis can't fly, expect a 15-minute cab ride to the airport that costs about 28 Euros.

The hotel is newly-remodeled, linens and fixtures are new, and rooms and beds are generously-sized. Free wi-fi in the rooms and the lobby, and convenient electrical outlets make it an easy hotel from which to work. For a solo traveler, the cost was about 65 Euros per night, which I thought to be a great value for the room. On a Sunday, it was tricky to find dinner because most places are closed, but there were two restaurants open in a nearby shopping mall (about a 10 minute walk away), including a 15-euro Chinese buffet that was surprisingly good.

Hotel service is efficient and friendly. My taxi was ready at 7:30 a.m. sharp the following morning, just as I'd ordered.

The one shocking disappointment with this hotel was the lack of availability of coffee at the breakfast buffet. There was both pre-brewed tea and brew-it-yourself tea, but only a very disappointing jar of instant coffee crystals for coffee fans. Um, no, that's not going to cut it.

Other things I'd have found useful: an alarm clock (or any clock) in the room, and more toiletries, such as lotion.
