“Animal Park”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Different to your average zoo....felt like a trip back in time with some different animals such as Bison, wild boars. Covering a large area of beautiful forested land that you can walk around or catch a car train...only a short walk from our accommodation in the Sleeping Beauty Castle dodging hundreds of fairy tale frogs.

“Nice park”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

This park has a collection of not so special animals (i.e. horses, pigs, wisents, rabbits, sheep etc) and it is mainly geared to the younger visitors who do not care too much about that. For us the main attraction were the wolves. We never saw them from so close (just 30 centimeters away behind a fence). The park is priced very friendly (7 euro for an adult), which is a nice change from the somewhat overpriced Sababurg castle nearby.

“Nice, spacious park, great for long walks and feeding animals.”
Reviewed July 23, 2012

The park is inexpensive, has a great bbq area, nice restaurant, great information centre, small museum about animals from the area, a nice birds of prey- show and you get too feed the farm animals, the pigs, wild boars, deer, parakeets (loved the beaver, can't feed him though!)... great views of the castle, lovely restaurant at the entrance.
Since it is really spacious, it offers great walks through the park, animals all have enough space, which, in my opinion, is really important for a zoological park.
All and all a really fantastic day out for both kids and adults.
