I stayed overnight here on a trip from Cologne to Munich with my parents in September. The town, which can be walked easily in an hour, was a great quiet place to spend the night. Next to Würzburg (a short car ride away), and in the heart of German wine country. The hotel is directly on the main strip, a smaller road which leads to Würzburg.

The Guesthouse was clean (spotless rather) and practical, though nothing fancy. The walls were a bit thin (I could faintly hear a couple having some fun at around 11pm), but other than that, I have no complaints. The bed was comfortable (I stayed in a single room, my parents in a double). The price of the rooms, also reasonable given a higher rate of tourists travelling in Bavaria due to Oktoberfest. Lastly, the included breakfast was GREAT! Everything you expect from a yummy German breakfast (fresh buns -- brötchen in German, meats, cheeses, jams, butter, fruits, and a hard-boiled egg). Great :)

One important thing to note: the hosts speak only German. No problem for us since I speak German, but could be an issue for non-German guests.

The restaurant was great! Traditional wholesome, home-cooked meals at a reasonable price (much better than you'll find in touristy Würzburg). We were three, each had large meals and desert, bottled water, and 2 bottles of local wine for 95 euros total.

We didn't stay in the hotel (we stayed at Hotel Demling), however, we had diner at the restaurant part. In summary: This restaurant is really to be recommended! Nice staff, a wide variety to choose from and the quality was very good, certainly when compared to the price!

We stayed there for one night on our way from Fussen to Frankfurt but this one night was enough to rate this place as "Excellent". Family owned place with restaurant on the first floor. Big enough rooms, very nice comfy bed with down coforters, clean bathroom, private parking. Except for a missing towels in our friends room which were delivered right away after notifying an owner everything else was just perfect. We stayed in room#24 which has double bed. And it was affordable too something around €70 plus €10 breakfast for a two of us. I would recommend this place to any one.

This hotel is in a good location on the romantic road near Wurzburg, it is a typical of many German hotels. The food was good and reasonably priced for an evening meal. The breakfast was very busy, but a constant trail of food kept appearing so only a short wait was required for any depleted stocks to be replenished. The standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent. Good value and highly recommended.

Just a short drive from Wurzburg to the small area of Randersacker, in the midst of wine country. (Near the start of the Romantic Road.) Randersacker is a small, quaint town with many winemakers. Excellent restaurants in the area. The hotel is along the main street in the center of Randersacker. Hotel has a nice restaurant/bar with outdoor deck. They provide free internet and a good morning breakfast. The service was very good, but be prepared that English is very limited in this area.

We used the hotel as an overnight pitstop on a long bike trip as it was in the right location and had ample parking. No English spoken but this is Germany not Surrey so that's hardly a reason to complain. The beer was cold, the food very good, the room faultless and the service friendly. And it was all very reasonably priced. Wholeheartedly recommended.

We couldn't find a hotel in Wurzburg that met our requirements so we reserved the Gasthof Loewen in Randersacker. It's only a few miles from Wurzburg making it an easy drive into town, we got lost returning in the evening making it an hour drive instead of 15 minutes. The rooms are small but clean and adequate, the bathroom was very large, the breakfast was very good. No one spoke English but we were able to communicate easily. We were surprised and pleased when we saw that the hotel is one block from a walking path on the Main River!
