“Good business hotel close to Lake Starnberg”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2012

I have spent 4 days in Vier Jahreszeiten Starnberg hotel for a business trip. The hotel is moderately accessible by walking from 2 train stations in Starnberg (about 700 m from both of them) and at the same distance from Lake Starnberg. The room has been very good and elegant, clean and comfortable. The mini-bar prices were rather on the expensive side and the coffee machine in the room was not working, but those were minor things, since there is a supermarket just few blocks away.
At checking out they first tried to bill me some hundred extra bucks for someone else bill in the bar, but after telling them I haven't used the bar, they corrected the bill.
We also used the restaurant breakfast and lunch and the food has been great; not only delicious, but also very nicely decorated.
All in all, I found it a good hotel for business, but I would not recommend it for family trips, especially for those with yound chidren, due to three incovenients:
- rather on the expensive side
- bathroom not very child friendly (for example the sink very high)
- cleaning lady and the guy checking the mini-bar coming often and quite early in the room to check various things

This hotel is well located in Starnberg, and offers comfortable, very well equipped rooms. As I didnt stay for long I didnt visit any facilities other than the breakfast room and bar; however, I can attest that these both offered a good range of food and beverages and efficient although unsmiling service.

We were in Starnberg for a wedding and all the families were staying at this hotel. We were thrilled with the rooms, bar, lobby, restaurant. The staff was very accomodating and helped us in everyway possible (and we needed LOTS of help with the train schedules, etc.). If we ever have another opportunity to return to Starnberg we would stay at this hotel!

We were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and convenience of this business hotel.
Though not immediately situated in the tourist zone of Starnberg it offers a good alternative to other hotels in the area. Downtown Starnberg is still within walking distance. A Europcar rental station is conveniently located in the immediate neighbourhood.
'We recommend to have dinner at the hotel's restaurant . The food is superb.

Hello,
I have just been to the hotel & Spa and really i went there because i wanted to visit Starnberg and also, because i wanted to stay in a Hotel with a nice spa. The most dissapointed was I got to the Hotel and there is no SPA. They call SPA, the Sauna and Turkish bath with the sunbeds outside in a terraze...so if the weather is good...you might enjoy the sunbeds. Next time i'll try to get a translation for the hotel web page as it was not in English, however, sauna and turquish bath cannot be call SPA anyway. I've then decided to get some massage of treatments. WEnt to the SPA suite, how they call them the room where they do the massage and wanted a BACK massage, something to get rid of muscular pain...the lady managed finally to give me a whole body massage instead of what i've requested.
The hotel is nice, but if you look for a nice SPA and massage treatments, don't go there.
THe room service is ok also. I had also read about the weak internet connection and thought it wouldn't be that bad, certainly it is, get disconnected all the time.

then this place isn't bad for short stays. The hotel itself is pleasant, efficient and well run. The health suite on the top floor is worth a visit - and quiet -we had the whole place to ourselves.

The breakfast buffet was generous in its variety.

It's a short walk from the local train station, though if you have lots of luggage, grab a cab, it's not *that* short.

I stayed in this new impressive hotel for a weekend. Rooms are
new and excellent furnished. Location is in the center of Starnberg, near the lake and you can walk to the lake. No Pay per view movies, but nature walks are recommended. Unfortunately the wireless Internet was not working at all and ruined my (working)
weekend. It could not be fixed and I received no compensation from the hotel. So I canceled my stay, which was already reserved for the next weekend with my friends. The did not seem to mind.
Otherwise I would absolutely recommend this hotel for business visitors. For nature lovers: check out Hotel Leoni directly on the lake shore.
