We had a group dinner at this wonderful Bavarian restaurant during a conference held in Munich. The facility is located in a small town about 20 minutes down the highway from Munich Messe. It is apparently a 300-year-old farm house that had been moved from a different part of Bavaria to this location. This provided an air of charm that is hard to describe. The interior was done very well in a traditional motif and the wait staff were dressed in traditional Bavarian garb. The service was very good. Our menu was limited because of the group function but, of course, pork was one of the features. It was accompanied by a traditional dumpling and featured a thin, flavorful gravy that engendered a wonderful taste. However, the star attractions were the desserts that were served family style. There was a chocolate mousse, a vanilla cream with fruit sauce and an apple kaiserschmarrn. The latter is a shredded pancake with apple compote on the side. They were all quite wonderful. From what I could tell, the prices appeared very reasonable for what we experienced. I would highly recommend going out of your way to pay a visit to this wonderful little traditional restaurant.
