“Nice lunch in a quiet part of Lourmarin”

La Calade de Lourmarin
Ranked #11 of 33 Restaurants in Lourmarin
Price range: $11 - $13
Description: By an old porch, entered into the courtyard full of charm of a pretty old house. A real haven of peace and freshness in the village very frequented in season. Here we do not run. The cat has understood it, who bask on the old stones, while the mistress of the premises concote her homemade pies and pastries. You are served one of the sixty varieties of black teas flavored or not flavored and green in the old Limoges, mismatched, it is true. But this adds to the very family charm of this address a little unusual in the decor. The pretty vaulted room with its large Provencal wardrobe should not lack charm out of season. Many varieties of teas and coffees. Fast snacks for lunch: salty pies, mixed salads and full plates.

Lovely terrace setting, had a tasty homemade lunch, service was a bit slow though and the choices of dishes limited. This is a quiet place just a street away from the busy part of the village. Very good selection of teas and there is a boutique as well.

This little cafe is well worth seeking out in the back lanes of Lourmarin .We had a great welcome from the ladies that run it and although our french was rusty they were full of smiles and made our time there really pleasant. There is a small menu, but all home made and presented with artistry and care .We had 2 different tarts , wonderful pastry and a beautiful salad. The local wine was great , also the bowl of dressing for our salads. We loved the setting in a shady courtyard away from the bustle of the main street. This was a great find and the most enjoyable meal we had on our holiday. .

It's a beautiful calm corner away from the tourists where you can taste one of the many teas or desserts or have a small home made lunch. The two lovely ladies running it complete the experience, maybe some soft music would have been the cherry on the cake

This tiny atmospheric cafe was delightful. Only two choices on the daily menu and we tried both. My courgette flan was light and tasty and accompanied by a beautiful fresh tomato sauce. Huge crunchy salad accompanied it. My husband loved his jambon salade as well. Finished with a chocolate cake to die for. Don't miss this one!
