What a fabulous find .... we came across this wonderful B&B on IEscape and it couldn't have been more perfect. The house, grounds, rooms and pool were beautifully done. With 5 rooms, it was small and intimate and guests met each other over breakfast by the pool. Galia, the wonderful host, was full of energy and fun and made sure everyone was well looked after. Great breakfast of croissants, breads, jams, meats, cheese and yoghurts was very tasty. Loved that you had a fridge and cooking area both inside the main house and by the pool for guests to use, so you could make your own lunch or dinner by the pool if you wanted to. It was a nice option if you didn't fancy heading out for a meal. Galia also gave great recommendations of local restaurants, vineyards, markets etc. A very relaxing 5 days .... can't wait to go again!

This very unusual property had the atmosphere of a place that had once been someones pride and joy..... but they had gone away. The whole place had a feeling of being less loved than it needed. Its saving grace is the women who seems to do absolutely everything from room cleaning to breakfast making and even pool cleaning. All carried out with a friendly warm and extremely helpful nature. But it all seems too much for one person. The place needs more staff to bring it back to what I am sure it once was, a beautiful farm house, surrounded by vines in beautiful countryside. In summary , nice but could be stunning.

Room Tip: Car essential as you have to drive to restaurants.

Thanks for your nice review. In fact, Ghalia does everything to guarantee a nice and wonderful stay to our guest... but she is not alone! We have many different old and faithful partners whose help us to maintain the quality level that we always promise to our guest. We left Le Clos Saint Saourde 2 years ago to live abroad because i go back to school to achieve a dream: to pass a degree in interior design but we are daily busy with managing Le Clos Saint Saourde to be sure that everything is fine for our guests!
We hope to welcome you again in a near future.
Best regards

Jerome

This is a hidden gem deep in the countryside surrounded by vineyards
A lovely pool area and wild free flowing gardens
We were made to feel most welcome by Gallia who runs the place with huge enthusiasm and charm
Rooms are individual and beautifully styled, breakfasts are communal affairs with fresh orange juice , fruit and wonderful croissants
Gallia arranged restaurants for us and suggested places to visit -all recommmendations were excellent
Although this is only a B and B the standards are extremely high . It wasn't hard for us to buy a few things for lunch to prepare in the pool kitchen
Altogether a really relaxing stay , I couldn't praise it enough and we will definitely return

What a wonderful discovery... Everything was perfect (including the little kitten Yvonne who we enviuraged to come and sleep with us, and Louise, the gorgeous golden retriever) , and our room especially was a delight.
Arnaud, the manager, looked after us very well, and, his suggestion for our last night's dinner (Crillon le Brave hotel restaurant) was exquisite.
We love it here, and it is very hard to leave- especially Yvonne...

Room Tip: If you want to enjoy a bath à deux, La Chambre Zelige has a fantastic free- form large bath

Yes, the grounds are a little overgrown and the WiFi patchy, but our stay at the Clos was made by the superb service and attention from Arnaud, the manager. From providing stunning breakfast by the pool, to suggestions for trips, to making reservations at local restaurants, he helped us to explore and find the hidden charm of this area of France. Air conditioning would have been nice, considering the heatwave we were having, and possible some more umbrellas for the pool for some shade, but we had a wonderful break and the fondest memories of out stay. Merci pour votre gentillesse et l'aide pendant notre séjour, Arnaud. A la prochaine.

Room Tip: All the rooms are individual and quirky.

Hi,
thank you for this kind review. The WIFI was effectively a little bit patchy when the weather was windy but we found a technical solution to guarantee a regular WIFI, even if the mistral is there. We are happy that you profit of all the nice restaurants we have around The Clos and the very special touristic places all around us! See you next time. Best regards.
