“C'est magnifique!”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

We stayed here for 7 nights in September. There is nothing to complain about, but much to compliment. The location is central to many attractions: 30 minutes to Bayeaux, an hour to Le Mont St-Michel, an hour to Honfleur, 90 minutes to Etretat, 45 minutes to Longue-sur-mer. Odile, the proprietor, was welcoming, warm, and wonderful. We stayed in the Marine Room (as in maritime), with plenty of room to spread out and move in. It was very quiet throughout the night. Odile's breakfasts are almost overwhelming with the selection of fresh breads, pastries, home-made jams/jellies, local honey, cereal, and then she will offer to prepare an omelette with any combination of ham, onions, mushrooms, and cheese. Then she offers a bag so that you can put together your own picnic from the breakfast table overflow. It's wonderful. I would return without a second thought.

This was the perfect place to stay for our tour around Normandy. Odile is the perfect hostess--warm, generous, funny, helpful...the best! We stayed for 7 nights in the Marine Room and could not have been more comfortable. Breakfast every morning was delicious, and she provided sacks for us to pack up the leftovers for a midday picnic while out sight-seeing. From the farm, we easily visited Le Mont Saint Michel, Honfleur, Etretat, the D-Day sites, and Bayeux. All in all, we could not have been happier with our stay here and highly recommend it.

We loved our stay here in August, 2013. The house is absolutely charming, the grounds beautiful, and with her warmth and hospitality, Odile did everything possible to help us feel comfortable, at home and to enjoy the area. Without a doubt, this is a superb B & B.

We were most fortunate to find and book La Ferme du Pressoir a few months in advance of our trip in mid-July 2013. This place is absolutely gorgeous. The large room with two double beds (only suggestion would be for slightly less firm mattresses) was perfect for our family of five and was decked with beautiful French country antique furniture and a spotless, bright, and very modern bathroom that was a most refreshing place to greet the morning in. Breakfast was superb, delicious, and an abundant sight to behold - also served in another lovely room. On top of all this, the farm has a charming courtyard that Odile stocks with a few great toys, which, coupled with the farm animals to which our children also paid a visit during our stay, made this an incredibly relaxing, peaceful, and idyllic BnB - especially for a family...but also for other guests!

Speaking of Odile, she is a gem - I can easily say you will not find a sweeter, more child-savvy, concientious, and proud innkeeper anywhere. She was very gracious with our late arrival/check-in - 11pm - from the Normandy beaches and dinner, and she actually spent time with our kids taking them around the farm the morning of our departure.

In short, this BnB has it all - beautiful ambience, an idyllic environment, a fantastic and substantial homemade breakfast, plenty of things for families to enjoy, and "over the top" warm and gracious hospitality. We had a terrific experience at La Ferme du Pressoir, and I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in the area when we return.

My wife and I along with our son booked here in July, 2013 based upon the recommendation in Rick Steeve's "France" book and we quite enjoyed our stay along with the opportunity to practice our French with Odile (the owner). This was our first trip to France and we restricted our stay to the Normandy region. We stayed at this B&B for 5 nights as we wanted to put an end to the pattern of frequent hotel changes and just relax for a while. Despite being late due to train delays and then a storm in Caen we were greeted warmly with food and cider. We stayed in the Rose room which suited our needs just fine. The room was very clean and well looked after. After being in several large cities it was nice to be on a quiet, peaceful farm. We found the location excellent as being a base for going to Bayeux and Juno Beach and then to Honfleur. We also made a trip to Dinan and Mt. St. Michel. The food was excellent with omelets made on request with fresh farm eggs. There was an assortment of different pasties, cheeses and cold cuts and an assortment of juices and excellent coffee. Odile would invite us to take what we wanted from the breakfast for a picnic which we made use of on a couple of occasions. As her cherry trees were bearing fruit we were invited to "pick our own" but it was not unusual for a basket to be available as well as fresh raspberries. She was an excellent source for information on tours and she provided us with an excellent recommendation for eating in nearby Villers-Bocage. All three of us really regretted having to leave. We found this B&B to be truly relaxing and restful. Odile is a wonderful person and a great hostess! We all thought that this place was an exceptional value and we have no hesitation in recommending it.

We stayed with Odile in April of this year in the separate gite which allows 3 different couples to stay in the one house, a great way of meeting other travellers from different countries. Wat a hostess, she was amazing, always on the run but never too busy to chat and more importantly wat would we like for breakfast, well of cause we always had Odiles famous omelettes, another decision was fromage or ham? She would appear in the evening to set the table and then reappear in the morning to put the coffee on and have those omelettes started. A picnic bag would be given to us every morning with an assortment of pastries and fruit to nibble on during the day. The boys certainly enjoyed the cider that she kept on delivering. Rooms are wonderfully large the whole atmosphere is very welcoming.
Lets not forget Gypsy, always ready for a game of ball.
Would stay with Odile again without blinking an eye.

This wonderful B&B is highly recommended. Idyllic country setting with a wonderful hostess, Odile, who makes you feel welcome and at home. Helping to pick items for breakfast was a treat. Odile makes the best breakfast we have ever had at any B&B. The room was clean and well suited for 3. Lovely French furnishings add to the charm. Odile was one of the nicest people we met and her wonderful B&B was one of the highlights of our trip.
