We stayed here 3 years ago and loved it so much we promised Patricia we would not create a profile for this amazing B&B on Trip Advisor...just to keep it a secret! But now I see that inevitably people have started providing their reviews and I would like to add my comments for those who do not speak French. We are from Canada and were looking for a remote place to visit as part of our 3 week trip to France during peak tourist season--Arbois seemed to fit the bill. I heard about this B&B through a google search and came across an English travel magazine that had written this place up as a little known gem. That is exactly what it was. Not many people speak English here at all so you need to be able to get by with some French. the property itself is charming, quaint, comfortable, and for us, quite honestly created one of the most magical travel memories we've ever had. Our room was amazing. A bit pricey but so worth it--it was the room that offers 2 bedrooms but since we were a party of 2 Patricia offered it to us at a discounted rate and kept one of the doors to the second bedroom locked. We had a full 2 person shower in our bathroom and no bathtub (i see some people did not like the idea of only having a bathtub - but it's not the only option). Decor and comfort level were great. Breakfast was very good. Loved the pool (a bit cold) and yard and location--a little river flows behind the property wall and stone houses and bridges line the river on both sides--for us it was like being in a fairy tale. The owner had a cute little white dog named "Chocolat" that wore a bandanna around its neck and ran around the yard, which was fine with us. Chocolat peed on my skirt while I was lying on one of the poolside chairs after swimming and had put my skirt on the grass next to me. The owner reprimanded Chocolat right away but to us we just thought it was funny and we still frequently laugh about that whole scene. The entire town is beautiful in the evening and everything is accessible on foot. Parking was not a problem for us - we were able to park within 1 block of the property. Patricia provided us with a map and some suggestions about where we could go to see the limestone caves, waterfalls, and other scenic towns in the region--her suggestions of what to avoid and what to make the effort to see were great. My husband and I rave about it to our family and friends all the time (and of course, no one ends up coming here because it's so remote, or maybe its our story about Chocolat...). I would fly to France just to stay here again.
