Yesterday we visited with a group of 10 friends this restaurant in the center of Torhout. One of our group had visited here previously ,hence the reason why this restaurant was chosen....he was right-so appeared.
Inside its decoration of painted greek housefronts on the walls makes you feel like on a square in a small greek village.( a very light sewage smell that we noted seemed to make part of it- (lol) )
We all ordered the "meze" as main course(22 euros is good value)-with a greek salad to start ( not bad,but rather pricy for what it was : 8,5 eur is a solid price for a small salad!)
The "meze" however - served as individual small portions(6 in total) instead of the usual "all on one" plate that you normally get in greek restos in Belgium- tasted just GREAT.
Altogether with all drinks and coffees included we finished a lovely evening at about 40 euros per person- more than reasonable (surely with regard to the rather expensive pricing in belgian restaurants due to labour cost, vat, etc ....)
A place we'll remember if back in the neighbourhood of Torhout.
