We have visited De Vossermeren several times over the last 7 years. It is still my son's favourite place in the whole world!!. It is about 175 miles (3hrs drive) from Calais and we have often added a visit to Bruges on one end which is also a delightful place to visit and en route. The environment at De Vossermeren is relaxed, the staff are friendly and you can do as much or as little as you wish. The site is car free except for arrival and departure days and cycling around or boating on the lake in the sunshine is heavenly. If you come for a short break arrive early and book your activities or they will be full. Hire bikes, they are very reasonable. This year we had rain a few times but the cottage has very efficient heating including heated towel rail and we were very cosy and clothing dries in no time. My only moan would be the cost of food in the restaurants....with a family of 6 where over 12's pay full price we just cant afford to eat out. But we self cater and the supermarket is well stocked and the deli counter does lovely snacks, cakes, fresh croissants, pain au chocs. We will be back next year without a doubt!

We stayed for four nights just before Easter in an 8 person Premium VIP. We generally stay at another village a short drive away, De Kempervennen, but couldn’t get in at short notice.
Found everything was of an acceptable standard in the cottage and, from our experience of cycling around the park, each cottage seemed to be within a reasonable (1 km max) distance from the pool area.
We were surprised at the cost of eating out in the park restaurants. Appeared to be considerably (50%) more expensive than De Kempervennen where we would tend to eat out most nights. But, were happy enough to have a few BBQs instead.
Pool is standard Center Parcs fare. The rapids weren’t as good as others we have experienced although the slides kept us all occupied.

Stayed here for the first time, and it was great.. we booked a premium childrens villa, which was okay... little outdated, considering I thought they have been restyled. The park itself was fantastic, Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The boys enjoyed the wannabe children's courses, they did pirates, magicians and farmer and considering the amount of complaining my 8 year old did before the farmer course about it being for babies it was the best of the lots and both boys loved it..
Food is bit on the expensive side, I did a shopping trip on route and took everything for breakfast, lunch and snacks but we ate out most evenings. the Market Restaurant (buffet) Dinner for family of 4 would cost 58.00 euro not including drinks..
We preferred the market grill (menu is not in english but staff very helpful) but here the food was lovely and was between 41.00euro - 52 euro for dinner for family of four.
Pancake house was good value as be got voucher in our pack for free children's pancakes.
Great holiday, and would return again.

Stayed here for the 5th time! It is a great place to just chill with the kids, swim, relax in the bar and soak up the laid back atmosphere.
The staff are fantastic, especially Jeff on the wild water rafting and high ropes! The restaurants aren't great but there is a Del Haize & Colruyt in Lommel which will keep you stocked up. Try the Jupiler beer, it's great!

We booked a two bed VIP cottage for the Monday to Friday of half term and had a fantastic time. It is so much cheaper than UK and we had 4 free activities (Toppings) as part of the booking. Discovery Bay is fantastic for kids, ours loved it (10 & 7). Swimming dome is like other Centre Parcs and great fun for adults and kids. Staff really friendly and all speak good English, activities well organised and generally reasonable price. The best bit was our cottage, definately recommend the VIP it was lovely and clean, excellent bathroom with own sauna and fresh rolls, croissants and sometime donuts delivered with an English newspaper each morning which was enough for breakfast and lunch. All in all a relaxing fun week that was really good value.

Well, we have just returned from De Vossmeren Centre Parcs and we couldn’t have had a better time. Looking at some of the negative reviews I can only imagine that either we have been very lucky, or others have been desperately unlucky!

We have stayed at Centre Parcs in the UK several times as we have a young family, but due to the restrictions of school holidays chose Belgium as the cost was so much more affordable. We travelled as three generations and stayed in a 3 bed (6 person) standard villa. Check-in was quick and simple and although the villas were not normally available until 3pm we were told we could use it straight away as it was already prepared.

We must have been lucky enough to get one of the re-furbished villas as it was clean and very well equipped. We visited the pool complex straight away and also found this to be very clean and extremely quiet. Anyone who has visited CPs before will know that the pools get very busy......De Vossmeren was extremely quiet at all times, no queuing for flumes and rapids etc. As a footnote, for anyone who has visited CP in Elveden Forrest, the pool complex is identical to this one!

All the activities were largely un-booked and all courts etc were available pretty much whenever you wanted them....even the bowling which usually gets booked very fast.

Prices are about the same as in the UK, so a little expensive to be fair. A soft drink will cost about 2-3 Euros, beers and wines about the same. We ate out most nights and the “Grill Restaurant” was very good, about the only place like this that you could order a rare steak and actually get a rare steak, not the frazzled crisp we get in the UK.

The best last....the staff!! Never have I been to what is, let’s face it, a holiday park chain and had such great service. Every member of staff could not have been more polite, helpful and friendly without being “in your face”. Nothing was too much trouble, in fact one night we were late out of the pool and had missed the last tables for dinner. When we asked a staff member if there was anywhere we could get something he disappeared off and returned a couple of minutes later saying that one of the chefs had not yet left and would re-open the kitchen for us!! You wouldn’t get that in the UK!!

Please give this beautiful, and extraordinarily friendly park a try, we certainly will and I shall be booking for the October half term right now!

PS: if it’s of any use to anyone we used the Eurotunnel and the drive from Calais to De Vossmeren took about 2hrs 15mins which was almost entirely on motorways and dual carriageways, very easy for anyone who is not used to driving abroad. Services including a small shop and toilets are located every 10-15km. Also English is very widely spoken for those of us who are linguistically challenged!

Room Tip: Apparently you can chose a refurbished room when you book?

We have been going here for the last 4years. It is quieter, cheaper and more chilled than the UK centreparcs. I would strongly recommend for family breaks. The pool is never packed and the local town, Lommel has everything you need, including a Del Haize supermarket. Just over the border in Holland there is a village with a great ice cream parlour. The only problem is the opening hours seem random.

Room Tip: Villa 875, 874 are close to aquamundo
