Really fantastic place - everything is really (at least) 4*. Beautifully designed, great local atmosphere, superb food (like in a 4* restaurant and not in a half pension), lots of activities in and around the hotel - everything true that is on the website; very honest and heartfelt service, very very beautiful location and views. The SOMMERCARD is such a bonus!! The best card I have so far experienced in Austria. Saved us many hundreds of Euros, on great activities like Dachstein, paragliding, all-day-childcare and great activities for them, etc.
Details: pool is as great as on photos, you swim among the mountains, heated pool, so it was dream in all weather. Location is wonderful - nested among high peaks, pastures, everything Alps. The hotel is small but still has all the services - you are not only a "room number" and there is no crowd, very personalised service. Everything is super clean and beatifully done - they pay attention to all details. Same with service - the owners themselves serve food.
Food is wonderful and really large portions - in our next hotel, for instance, the Wienerschnitzel was 1/3 the size, desserts 1/10th the size... ;-(. They are not stingy with anything; the half board includes fish several times, lamb, and other delicacies. Breakfast has a great fresh pressed "vitamin juice" that was really yummy; also sprouts and other not-so-standard hotel foods are served (like blue cheese that we loved), and all are cooked and served to a very high standard.
Activities are superb - because it is not a large hotel, you can play tabletennis for hours (in this fantastic setting), swim, playground is really good, safe, and beautiful. There are other nice things outside in the Summer like the hammock-like seat and other fun summer seating/sunbeds, beautiful huge garden. The Indoor playroom is a little more simple, but perhaps it is boosted up by the Winter, and you can still kill a few hours in it with your child. We had so much constant fun (with the Sommercard free activities) that we have not even gotten to use the spa area. I liked the Wednesday night folk dance, too.
For us what was special that it is a truly "local" hotel - everyone wears the local folk costumes, the food embraces local produce and products as well as cuisine, the whole design fits so well - so you have a full local cultural experience in addition to the nice vacation.
I also appreciated that they were very fair with the bill - in the offer they did not include a cost for our twins, and although they wanted to charge for them (not too much), when I pointed out that this was not in our offer, they returned it without any bad feelings.
