We stayed 4 nights in this hotel.
The rooms are spacious and very cosy.
The breakfast is tasty and healty, but the dinner get's from me a minus point, because they don't have a la carte menu. They put you to choose from the morning what you will eat in the evening.
I would suggest for more simple grill fish or steaks without bacon. More healty food.
You have a salad corner very ok
They have a room to play for children. And beautiful rooms for family with 2 children. Ask for room 202. The best room ever.

Our family always tries to get out from the city for Christmas time, this year we picked this family run hotel and it was great choice!
The hotel is in the hill, so may be not for someone who is looking for some restaurants around and there is necessary to take a bus or car to the closest ski resort, but the hotel staff is very friendly and happy to help and organise everything.
The rooms are great, very clean with big tv and sofa to relax and each of them decorated bit differently.
The breakfast is in buffet style and everyone for sure will find what they are looking for from cold or warm options - sweet and savoury, plus lovely selection of tea and fresh brewed coffee.
We had half board which included except the breakfast and dinner cake and coffee between 3-5pm as well.
If you go there for skiing as we did, spa part of the hotel will offer you nice relax après ski - steam, finish, Tyrol or infra sauna, plus small swimming pool to relax.
As we stayed in Shlossel over the Christmas our dinner were mostly in gala with 5 courses. In the morning they normally advise us what time we should come for a dinner, where was the only minus of this hotel - punctuality, they normally started to serve the meal bit later and it took long time to go through the dinner.
But who would mind to wait for such a delicious food? We really felt like in Michelin restaurant any time we were having dinner! The taste, the presentation and absolutely professional, but still very friendly service.
So if you are looking for something around here and want 3in1 - skiing, spa and gurman adventure, I can really recommend!

A German friend told us after we'd stayed here that the Austrian tourist board some time ago, in order to boost tourism, over rated many of the country's hotels in order to generate custom. Whether this is true or not I do not know, but in this case, I would have to agree. This hotel has some aspects that may be close to 4* - the views are good from rooms at the front of the building, the spa and pool are very nice, the alpine gardens and viewing bridge a nice touch (but we had to explore on our own to find these, we weren't directed to them). The food is good quality and the half-board is generous - both the breakfast and evening meal, and the snacks available from 3-5pm. The downside is you have to be there at the allocated time for dinner (7pm). Due to an activity we had planned we arrived later for dinner on the 2nd evening (7.45), and although they said they were ok with this, it still felt a little like being 'late for dinner' - not really what you want from your hotel! The staff were helpful and friendly; they allowed us to check in early after a wet ride here, and put our wet things in their boiler room to dry out, which was great. One member of staff speaks good English, the rest less so, so if you have no German be aware. Check-out time is a generous 11.30am. There is free wifi and paid for wifi - we used the free option and it worked fine. The main issue we had with this place is the standard of the room. For the price you pay (E180/night) you would expect a high end room, tastefully decorated, beautiful bathroom etc. The room we stayed in (the 'Romantic Room' - not an accurate name) was very dark, painted in reds and oranges, no mirrors on any walls, lights with no shades, and the worse thing was it smelt stale - as if smoking had been allowed in it previously. The bedding, throws, carpet, sofa, air in the room were all stale smelling. The carpet was old and marked, the furniture was cheap quality and also marked. The bathroom was clean but old. This place may have been glorious in the 1970s, but no longer - it needs a major overhaul - unless we just got very unlucky with our room. The one plus point was the balcony which had a great view - until the large coach party of pensioners arrived for the weekend, which made me wonder what type of place this is really? The coach in the car park interrupted the view somewhat! A boutique hotel this is not, don't be fooled by the website. IF the hotel upgrades the rooms (repainting, new carpets, some mirrors, new bedding, new bathrooms…) -then yes, this has all the ingredients to be somewhere special. But at the moment, it feels like it is trading on past glories.

Room tip: Not the 'Romantic room'!! Ask the hotel for a room which has been recently re-furbished (if they have any). Rooms at the fron of the hotel should have a nice view down the valley.

Stayed here last night due to me missing the last bus to Obergurgl and there was no way I was being ripped off by the local taxi firm, they wanted €110 to get to Obergurgl from Ötztal Bahnhof what a ripoff the bus only costs €9.70.
The hotel was a god send and most welcoming I was happy to pay €70 as a pose to €110 to those grabbing taxis.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend during our ski trip to Austria. I should say that the staff is very competent and inviting. And the food is good. The downside of this hotel is that is not in the center of anything. In fact, it is quite removed. So, if you are looking to be in the "center of the action," this is not the place to stay! It is about 15 minutes from the small town of Oetz and about an hour from Solden. Both families and couples would be quite comfortable here. The rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable - but I wouldn't call them high-end or luxurious.
