Absolutely lovely stay, despite the weather as it rain for the majority of our holiday
The staff for us were the highlight, have a certain charm which is hard to find
The rooms were lovely with some nice touches - the bath salts especially!
The fruit, ice-cream and afternoon tea were a great treat in the afternoon and the menu both Thai and western was more than enough. The Breakfast was also plenty and very nice
Food and drink was expensive though and as it is remote you can't really go elsewhere. Around £10 for a Thai dish isn't too bad, although compared to other parts of Thailand that is expensive. The Western food is pricier, some around £25 for a main course. The alcohol is expensive too, around £4 for a small Singha beer! and £8-£10 for a cocktail. What's more they put service and VAT on everything, when sometimes I'd rather just walk to a bar and order the drink myself and not have to pay service every single time, although as mentioned the staff are lovely
Nice beach, immaculately kept, no real reefs though as with some of the other islands in Thailand so snorkeling etc. isn't as good but again visibility was affected by the weather
Paradee is a bit remote which is fine for us, however if you want to explore a bit more it could prove tough, especially in the rain.
One word of warning if booking with Virgin Holidays, they missold us the transfer. We were told it was a private transfer but when we arrived at the pier we was told that it in fact wasn't and we would have to wait for 4 hours plus we would have to leave 10 hours before our flight on the way home - not ideal! This all meant that we have to pay Paradee and extra 3,000 Baht (£70) for the private transfer
Overall all though, I would happily recommend this resort

Room Tip: I would recommend a Garden Pool villa, we were in 207 which was right by the beach but with more privacy than beach front villas

Me and my wife stay at the Paradee resort was a very nice experience.
This is a resort with very high standard and ambition to be one of the best.
So, our stay was for tree weeks, the vilas was very high standard with a little garden and a
pool. It has a out door shower and nice beds so it is more like a small villa then a hotel room.
The beach is one of the best and private.
The staff is very helpfull and friendly , the problem is the english knowledge.
The manager and Mr Nutt is very proffesional and the ask you all the time for comment.
The food was ok but as we was there for tree week we was a little dired breakfast.

Private enclaves with shade and greenery -rare at small beaches. The resort owners need to spend money and renovate the rooms and restaurant. Too expensive for what you get in quality and choice of food and rooms. The location however is fantastic. The hygiene needs an upgarde in the food area and rooms. More choices on the menu. Howveer they ahev graet staff always willing to help and smiling adn working very hard

Room Tip: beach faicng for a view but noisy and graden facing for the silence and privacy

Excellent food and service with well trained staff who were invariably pleasant and helpful.
Great efforts made to impress guests on arrival, complete with speedboat transfer and welcoming committee.
Beach and clear sea superb, plenty of space, no crowding whatsoever.
Accomodation spacious and well equiped, but we had minor problems with sticking doors and would have welcomed stronger lighting, although reading in bed was no problem.
The copper (?) Taps and wash basin may not be to everyones taste.
In summary, we had a lovely time and we shall return when we pass this way again.

The resort is located in the best part of Koh Samet--the white sands is magnificent, the clear turquoise water is marvellous. It's a very tranquil and relaxing little piece of paradise. The service is great but it's what you'll expect if you had paid that much.

Dining by the pool is very romantic although the cost of each meal and drinks could easily burn a hole on your pocket. At least the Thai food was excellent.

Notwithstanding the sky high costs, Paradee is a perfect weekend getaway.

Room Tip: We stayed at a beachfront pool villa but we realised the garden pool villa is much cheaper for the same value you could get.
