First need to say, we did not stay here, this is mostly directed to management.
We arrive to paradee via kayak and wanted to eat at their restaurant to celebrate my bday, and ask info about a possible future stay. We are a US family of 4, with 2 kids, and certainly well groomed not campers showing up with food bags! We vacation often in the islands and always looking for the best hotel.
The security spotted us while paddling toward the resort and started whissling and screaming to go away. I completely ignore them of course as my young kids needed a break and needed to cool down. We stopped at the beach (nobody was there but the security guard) and gave water to the kids and refreshed them for a swim. The security called other security and we were surrended by barking unfriendly security during the 10 minutes we spent there.
Beaches in thailand are pubblic, there are no private beaches in thailand, and although I understand that security needs to ensure that outsiders are not going to use hotel facilities, they have no right whatsoever to stop somone from swimming in the beach or paddling with the kayak in fron t of their property.
We were so upset by their aggressiveness that we left and eat in another hotel.
What a pitty, we were considering moving here for our week vacationMore
