This shall be a detailed review as Iam in love with this resort. JUst 2 hours from Bangkok and a 10 minute speed boat transfer from Ban Phe Pier is this hidden gem. There is a private pier with a nice waiting area before the boat takes you right on the beach of the resort. The beach is shared with 3 other resorts all with few guests,it is almost like having the entire beach to yourself.
On arriving we were given refreshing welcome drinks and move to a two bedroom suite (400) which was well appointed and had a good private balcony with a view. The pool area, the swings on the beach and the coffee shop are all fantastic. The staff went overboard catering to our every need and the food was just top drawer. We had rain for 2 days and then sunshine for the next 4. The beach is incredible even if not very long and quite narrow (the same is the case with all beaches on Koh Samed). There is a lot of junk and debris that tends to get washed up on the beach but there are sweepers cleaning it through the day. Overall the experience was very good, the color of the water, the food and drinks, the two band team in the lobby churning out good music, the pool (saltwaterish),just a fantastic combo. It is set on the more exclusive and quiet part of the island which makes it all the while more worthwhile. The three ladies offering massage on the cordoned off area of the beach are magical. If you want to skip going to an over commercialized resort and get away to somewhere real and beautiful this is the place.PERFECT FOR COUPLES.

Two things to note - Stairs, there a re a lot of them, specially if your villa is higher up on the hill, and these stairs tend to be slippery in the rain.

The pressure of water in the showers was inadequate. It just didnt kick in even after minutes of waiting.

Iam going back to this place really soon, thats how much I liked it.

Room Tip: We took 400, a two bedroom suite with a sprawling living room, it was fantastic !

This was a great hotel, the beach is beautiful and clean and the staff offered great service. We actually were upgraded on arrival to the top resort their because our air conditioner was broken. There are three resorts on this beach, all run by the same group and are at varying levels of luxury. The breakfast included option was good with a wide range of food. The rooms were very comfortable and great standard. The restaurant at Breeze was lovely, sitting outside on the balcony in the evening with a fire show as well. The pool was nice and the staff were friendly. Was a relaxing weekend! I'm going back there tomorrow!!

The hotel is very well situated, on the other part of the island. The beach is very quiet and perfect for couples and families. The staff is very polite, they are willing to help you. The room vas clean and good standing. I would recommend this place for people looking for relaxation and luxury.

Room Tip: Room 200 is great, just in front of the sea !

Small quiet resort on the island of Koh Samet just off the coast south of Bangkok. After a two and a half hour drive from Bangkok, a short but bumpy speedboat ride from Rayong and even more bumps on the back of an open taxi from the pier we arrived at this little oasis. The rooms are nice comfortable bungalows overlooking the small beach. The restaurant was excellent with a great choice of set buffet, fantastic barbeque options or other dishes from the menu. The staff were lovely and friendly and the service was very good. On one evening the meal was spoiled somewhat by the petrol fumes from the 'fire dancers' on the beach but this is typical of Thailand. Small, clean and quiet beach - no hawkers to spoil our relaxation and the sea was delightfully warm. On another evening a short but vicious storm arrived and the whole restaurant was moved indoors very efficiently. There are few sights to see on the island so it is somewhere for a quiet relaxing getaway rather than a full Thai cultural experience, but good for a few days. The downside is the travel but the resort is worth the effort.

Room Tip: Low numbers are best - others are a longer climb up from the beach.

Koh Sameth island, the second biggest beach on the island. Nice elegant houses on the clean beach.. We were a group of 10 pax , we had 6 houses ,each house had different standard. Renovated and classical Thai rooms are most elegant. If You can choose take nbrs 100, 108, 109, 226. Don't choose nbrs higher than 400, dark and small. rooms. Tasty cousine, but high prices. No shops and non-hotel restaurants in area. If You need a night life, You have to move abt 4 kmts to another place with restaurants and discos. If You want to forget abt yr problems - come here and rest and breaf a clean air and swim in saphire water.
