We are about to leave and are still unsure about the resort. It really could do with a better management. You can certainly see that at the main restaurant (the only one that was open during our stay) where your main course might very likely come before your starter, or your other half might already be having her main course while yours will take at least another 20 minutes and when it does come, you realise some bits are still missing. The happy hour is a rip off of sorts, where prices are actually more expensive than during normal hours, where they are actually ok... It's the same thing elsewhere. While they keep the main beach in pristine condition (but you will feel like a sardine there, far too many loungers), the other one, more secluded is not cleaned regularly, and waste tends to accumulate there before someone will do anything. The resort is also very noisy around the bungalow area (and only this one) at night and very early morning where hundreds of birds gather every single day (between 6pm and 9pm and around 6am) in a couple of trees to tweet like there will be no tomorrow. Needless to say, this leaves lots of droppings on the path and on some terraces which are only cleaned on occasions. This to me is a big no-no.
Having said this, the resort is very family friendly surprisingly and is composed of three areas, each one with its own pool, with a kids area. The staff does try and is always kind and ready to help. We just got the impression that they were left to themselves. Few speak English however and this was annoying on occasions.
We rented a bungalow for a few days, no 609, and aside from the birds, we must admit it was quite charming and kept in working order and clean. The loungers and the parasols on the second beach could be replaced though. Would we come back? Probably not, yet one does see the potential here...and there is a lot, but for now, it's ok, no more.
