“Hidden gem in Koh Samet”

Summer Day Beach Resort was fantastic. It is a small resort with only six rooms on the beach front. You get your own private terrace right outside your room, and the area in front of the hotel including the beach is reserved for resort guests only. There are just enough benches and beach chairs for guests.

No clusters of 50 beach chairs, obstructed views, noisy clubs or massive amounts of touts which we saw everywhere else along the beach. The touts who do pass by here seem very friendly with the staff, occasionally stopping for a beer or a meal at the resort restaurant if theres room. They don't bother you as much as they do in the rest of the island after you say no the first time, which was great.

The owner and the rest of the staff were great and very friendly, happy to recommend food or things to do around the island. We mostly ate and relaxed at the resort in the evenings as we are not that into clubbing, and it was great just sitting on the terrace or on one of the beach chairs relaxing with a cold beer late into the night. The food at the resort was great as well.

We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Koh Samet.

Room Tip: Rooms 2-5 for the best views. Rooms 1 and 6 are in front of the front desk / kitchen buildings, so n...

This is a small family run hotel with only six rooms. At arrival the staff was expecting us and helped with bags. We stayed for three nights and it was really an oasis on a otherwise busy and crowded beach. Every morning there was reserved sunbeds with towels on the beach for every guest. They served the best breakfast we've ever had in Thailand, and the staff was very helpful with arranging for our continuing journey to Bangkok. The manager and one staff even followed us with the ferry over to mainland to help us find the right driver and minibus. They didn't even let us pay for their tickets!

I I ever go back to Koh Samet, this is where I'll stay!

Room Tip: All rooms are equal.

We have no other words that fantastic to say about this place to stay.... The rooms are fantastic, modern, clean and authentic. They are placed right on the beach with private sun beds to each room. You feel like a part of a small family, when you are here. The owners of Summer Day beach resort are so kind and very helpful in a personal way. The food they cook are delicious thaifood. We would never stay any place other than Summer Day beach resort on Koh Samet. Our very best recommendations.

Room Tip: All rooms are perfect situated.

This small hotel with only 6 rooms is our absolute favorite on Koh Samet! The rooms are spacious with nice interior design and the lady who runs it is very nice and extremely helpful in every way. The breakfast is menu-based and gives you what you need. The row of rooms are located right on the beach and the restaurant is on the beach. Lovely to have breakfast and watch the lazy beach life! The thai food is great, actually the best we have had on Koh Samet. If you have the chance - go here! We stayed in a so called couple room and got a very big extra bed for our son, so that was great!

Room Tip: Room number 4 has the best view!

I have been visiting Samed almost every year, for 15 years. I stayed in many different hotel from cheap one to expensive one. All I can say is "Summer Day" is currently number one on my list.

It is not a fancy hotel, don't expect swimming pool, 24hr. room service or fancy breakfast buffet. What you get here is an adequate size room which have 1 king bed and 1 sofa bed (in case you have kids or more company). The room are clean, well keep, air-con, warm shower, TV, clean sheet. The best part is all the room is directly on Samed's white sandy beach, and this is the only place you can get a room that is actually next to the beach. You will also get beach chairs on the balcony in front of your room, which you can watch the world goes by.

The B&B was newly renovate on 2011-2012 by the new trendy young owner. The staffs are helpful. The food is tasty and reasonable price. It is even better than other well know restaurant on the island. If you want to taste what Thais are eating every day, look nowhere else.

Really love this little place and will surely back there again.

Room Tip: All rooms are next to the sea. Room 3 and 4 for best view. Room 2 and 5 are the next best.

Summerday is a little paradise on a magnificent beach. We stayed there with our 1,5y old daugther for a week in august (I'd been there in june with friends) and it's definitely one of the best family moment we had.

They only have 6 rooms with direct access to the beach, the staff is excellent and always available whatever you need, the atmosphere is excellent, food is great and not expensive. This small place will seem exclusive to you!

Rooms are large and fresh, you can have 2 queens bed rooms and stay up to 4 per room.
