Le Blanc Samed Resort

Excellent location but plenty of mosquitos in the garden grounds but thats nature Staff were friendly breakfast was served fresh to order.

I have found better options on the island the speed boat transfer was organised by the hotel which was fine but there are cheaper options to get to the island.

The room ww were offered was so terrible we actually checked out before even sleeping there. dirty smelly and very humid, with suer and mildew smell.
we ended up staying next door in another place.
The Hotel is packed day and nighttime with Russian tourists wearing speedos and animal print tongues, at best, with a sarong around them during the meals.
Dinner time show for Russian boat tourists from pattaya, invading the place with loud music and singa alongside. Unbearable.
Food is the worst I've ever tried in Thailand, especially the breakfast with next to raw eggs when we ordered boiled and ketchup in the omelet (?) wait staff are record slow even though we were the only occupied table. We asked for the check twice, waited 25min, nothing happened. Not until we started walking out, they stopped smoking and half sleeping around the bar and cam running with the bill, taking them ages to figure out our change.

If you're into the above, go here, oath wise I strongly advice you to avoid at all costs.

Room Tip: The standard is awful, probably in all the rooms.

Nice friendly receptionist and house staff gives them one star. On checking in the hot water didn't work but to be fair it was fixed straight away. From hereon it went badly. We arrived back the first evening to find a surge of brown coloured water filling our bathroom floor. We declined the offer to wait till the morning and see what happened so yes they did fix it. Overnight the air conditioner stopped working but not before sending a deluge of water into our luggage underneath it. Whilst feeling very sick and trying to explain that I wanted air conditioning it took an hour or more to get them to agree to move us and not to a smaller room or a room higher up the hill. Having moved we again had to call on the services of their maintenance staff as there was no water in the handbasin in the bathroom of our new bungalow.

The food, sampled only once, was poor to mediocre at best and even the drink ordered was incorrectly made. Will never go back.

Room Tip: Do not go.

Horrible hotel standard, old rooms, dirty sheets, horrible uncomfortable beds, toilet out of function. Beach is full of Pataya boat visitors in thongs drinking white russians and beer from early morning till late afternoon. We had to rent motorbikes to escape all day to other beaches. Service at restaurant lazy, food average and none of the servants spoke any english.
We will never return to this place or recommend to anyone, especially not with little kids.

Warning -- don' stay there -- it will be the most unpleasant visit. I wish we had read some of the reviews here. But, it was the last place on the island with rooms, so we just took it. Now we know why! Wish I could give a minus 5 rating. The "highlights":
-- waited over 2 hours for room to be "ready"
-- door lock was broken, had to spend about 5 minutes locking/unlocking each time. This was the second lock, the original lock was broken, looked like it had been broken into.
-- entrance steps gone, deck flooring broken through (really, see photo!), supported by snack tables.. We had to climb in this way the entire time. They offered no apologies.
-- sheets unclean, had not been changed. I stripped the bed, offered to remake it myself with clean sheets. Waited all day, no sheets. Evening: begged for sheets, they gave us a sheet that smelled of barf and mold, one fitted blanket cover we placed on bed awkwardly, and no pillowcases (we used tshirts).
-- shower was scalding. figured out we had to turn on the heater, count to six, turn it off, use water for a few seconds until it got cold, repeat, over and over
-- no, they didn't clean the room between nights (ha-ha!)
-- meal service was beyond slow -- waited over half hour for breakfast, and no one else was there (that should be a clue)
-- someone in our party was served uncooked eggs with a large fly cooked onto the top of the white. That was their unusual talent, how to cook the fly without cooking the egg yolk. (raw, not even close to sunny side up!)
-- staff were at best unresponsive, and at worst, outwardly rude
-- the little private beach was beautiful -- wish we'd had a tent!
We had a "superior room", at $110 US per night. Worst ever hotel experience.

Room Tip: Don't stay at this hotel!

By far the worse resort I've ever stayed in! And I've stayed in many! Just wished i had read the reviews on here before booking a 4 day trip for my family, do not take any notice of there website, very misleading as in truth, the place is a dump! It may have been nice ten years ago when they took the pics for the website!
We refused our deluxe beach bungalow as it smelt mouldy, wasn't clean and had an infestation of mozzies outside our door, so we were moved to the honeymoon suite to sweeten our complaints, I feel sorry for any newly weds that choose this resort! A larger tv and a larger bathroom makes this a suite?? Not even one English speaking tv channels?? Not even a news channel?? Plenty of other nicer places further along the beach as we soon discovered!
Lovely island, terrible resort!
