I had a ten day visit to Samed Villa Resort, during the off-season (July), and found the hotel to be well managed, with kind, polite and helpful staff members! The grounds are beautiful and well kept, by attentive groundskeepers! The breakfast buffet was well serviced and the Thai options, varied daily! In addition to speedboat transfers, the hotel also offers shared speedboat transfers from the beach to Ban Phe! It is a good option, which saves the inconvenience of finding an island taxi! Although not inexpensive, the resort is a reliable and comfortable choice, if you are seeking a relaxing stay on Ko Samed!

Great place and very chill place to stay, we booked a sea view villa, and it was spacious, had everything we needed, so no complaints.
Minibar prices much better than convenience store outside the resort, and restaurants food quality and price is unbelievable good, we were very pleased with it.
Staff is very nice and helpful.

One thing to point out, there is Rapsberry Smoothie for 65bath in 1 menu, and on another page Rapsberry(with some fantasy name) smoothie for 85bath, totally the same, ordered the one for 65 and I have been billed for 85thb and been told that I have ordered from the old menu, just one thing, please take out the page which says 65thb, so there is no confusion with Customers when paying the bills.

Apart from that all good.

Was here just before Songkram so review a bit delayed.

My fifth visit I think. Stayed in one of the Beachfront bungalows clean room, everything worked, if looking to nit-pick rooms are a little bit worn and not many English channels on the TV (why watch telly anyway).

Ate at the restaurants most days and food was good, only ate here once in the evening and did find the service a bit rushed, which was a bit unusual. Most evenings I would walk to the main Sai Kaew Beach and drink in the bars there as a bit livelier (recommend Friendly bar).

Only complaint would be when I left the Island the taxi I booked through the hotel was not waiting at the pier like it usually is. Contacted the hotel and was told he was stuck in traffic. As I was leaving on the Friday at the start of Songkram it was a fair enough excuse, but it did give me cause for concern at the time.

Also noticed a few people playing the towel game with the sunbeds which I think the resort needs to put a stop to. Often sunbeds left with just a towel on all morning until the relevant parties turned up early afternoon, surely the beach staff can notice this as I did and remove them.

I would still highly recommend Samed Villa though.

Room Tip: Beachfront Bungalows if in your budget
