“Fancy buildings, nothing more”
Reviewed January 29, 2013 via mobile

Drove past this attraction in my way to hotel n made a return trip to find out more.

Nice buildings as described in other reviews. Small shops selling common souvenirs. That's all. Saw a lot of locals taking photos but I didn't bother to take out my camera. Nice place to kill an hour or two if you have the time.

Side note, it has a 7-11 which is a good place to get supper if you are staying nearby.

“Little Italy of Thailand”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

The architecture is so attractive, you may think that you are in somewhere in Italy!! The shops and restaurants are nice. There are one mini 3D theatre for kids too, not so expensive. People enjoy look around the place and take photo. There are many great spots for taking photos. I and my kids love to visit this place and around Khao Yai area much.

“Small Italy”
Reviewed September 23, 2012 via mobile

Amazing to find a small Italy in a small town of Pak Chong. I was expecting something more about the place. But was a bit disappointed. The place is beautiful but I finish walking within 45min. This place is not really for tourist as most can't speak English. The things that are sold there were about the same in Bangkok city, which is consider slightly expensive.

“A bit of Italy in Thailand”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

This is a popular collections of shops and eateries with some entertainment as well - in a setting built to resemble an Italian (Tuscan) town. It's worth a stop.

There's quite a variety of shops, including a Jim Thompson store (with some good prices) and lots of ice cream vendors. Food choices range from Italian (no surprise!) to Thai and Chinese.

There's a small outdoor market to the left of the entrance where there was some very good and inexpensive food offered at stalls. Pork steak with salad and fries for USD 2 and salmon steak with salad and fries for less than USD 3!

“Cute little shopping spot but avoid the weekend”
Reviewed January 29, 2012

Ventured into Palio for an afternoon break. It was quite busy and packed on a weekend afternoon with the visitors mostly taking pictures. I then realized that this attraction must included for trips to the Khao Yai National Park as people were dropped off by the bus loads. Lots of small little shops selling stuff and small sit-down coffee places. Suggested places to visit - Jim Thompson outlet, Black Canyon coffee place. I also recommend the open air market selling local products - in particular the grape juice and dried grapes which are cheaper than the vineyards. There was also a local tea place called So-Tea/ Suwirun tea shop which sells cold and hot tea, tea leaves etc - You should order the bubble tea - different flavors to choose from (about 60 baht) - all the ingredients are put into a mixing container and shaken 'vigorously' by a machine (which is actually a metallic dressed doll with flicking doll eyes). Hilarious...
