We did the 2 days and half tour and it was truly great. We went with guide Benoit for the first two days and he did his best to find wildlife and seemed to really care about the jungle. Within the first few minutews we entered the park we got to see a wild elephant in daylight which was great. We also saw a wild elephant on our second night on our way out of the park. We also saw barking deer, samba deer, 3 types of hornbills, gibbons, macaques, wild boar, porcupine, monitor lizar, kingfisher. The camping was nice but the tents and the sleeping bags were not the best, quite cold at night. I felt there wasn't enough food for dinner as I was starving and only had a portion of fried rice. The trekking was quite nice, the guide took his time to show us and explain things. The first waterfall we saw was nice but the second one wasn't quite so nice since it's dry season and there was hardly any water (the highest waterfall). The bat cave was great, really enjoyed watching the bat show but wished there was more time to explore inside as I felt rushed. Cool springs were also nice.I had a different guide for this day and he wasn't quite as enthusiastic as our first one, wouldn't of liked to have him for my camping trip. The apartments were great, very spacious, food was excellent (I still miss it ). Very friendly!

We had a big group for a 1 and a half day tour which worked out well when they split us into two groups. The tour was good, a lot of driving around the park though getting where you need to go. If you're lucky at night you can see wild elephants [which we did)!! The rooms were OK with two beds and 1 person sleeping on the floor on a mat. The tour guides were knowledgeable and very passionate which made for an enjoyable trip. The food was also great at the apartments but pack snacks because the full day is LONG! Overall a good tour especially with a group of friends! Oh and Mr. Sexy is hilarious!

Room Tip: Can get cold in the rooms at night! Request more blankets if you get cold easily.

This guesthouse is good only if you want to visit the park as there's nothing else to do in the neighborhood. The rooms are basic but ok even if sleeping could be difficult due to the highway that runs near to the guesthouse. The tour in the park is good to walk in the forest but there's quite few wildlife to see compared for example to parks in Africa.
Price is cheap for the rooms but due to the fact that you have to pay for breakfast and for the tours I think that at the end the price is not so low but anyway still good.

As a guest you are taken care off in every way and you immediately feel at home. The tours into the national park on offer are wonderful, which is especially down to the fantastic work and attitude of the guides and drivers. During the tour everything was provided: camping equipment, leech protection, food & drinks (we took the 2 1/2 day tour). The trekking routes were fantastic: suitable for moderately trained people which covers a broad range of visitors. Having said that our guide Anon was happy to adjust the tour to personal needs and kept asking and checking if everything is ok with the group and if everyone is feeling good. (Thank you so much Anon for a fantastic tour if you get to read this!!! ;))).

We stayed for 4 nights, sleeping in the bungalow 3 nights and camping 1 night at the national park campsite. The owner and his wife were taking care of us for dinners and breakfast (splendid food!!) and were very supportive in picking us up / droppings us off for arrival and departure.

I would always choose Bobby's above other places again because you immediately switch from tourist into a homely mode. Thank you everyone at Bobby's!!!!!!

The rooms themselves are super cheap but you must know that there are no real windows that can be closed completely. So as the location is close to the mountain, it can be cold during the night. Also, the wind can get in the room. The location is quite bad as there is absolutely nothing to do without going into town by taxi. the jungle itself is 20km away and you can't go there by yourself. If you are only coming for 1-2 nights just to do the jungle tour maybe this is not a problem.

The jungle tour really depends on the guide and the driver you get. We stayed there 4 nights and saw groups have very different experiences. Our guide seemed quite bored and not that talkative. We would have loced to get more info on the jungle as we were walking by.

We did get to see elephants, but it was from the car, standing in a long line of other cars kind of scaring the elephants. Didn't feel very 'safari' as it was on a big road. Anyway, the key point was that the driver was really bad and drove dangerously, there was no night safari or waterfall lunch as advertised in the brochure. So don't expect them. Do go to see the bat cave as it is spectacular.
