“Awesome place one should not miss.”

It takes approximately 2 hours for you to reach the place by a jeep from the city and the cost is Rs. 1700. If you have an SUV, you can reach closer and hire a jeep for Rs. 500.

This is in Pushpagiri forest reserve and it is not crowded which I am sure it will in another years time. There were only a 20 of us in the whole place on a Sunday evening.

You can see a range of hills from here, it is almost a 360 degree view. Reach there by 5 pm so that you can have the splendid sight of mist covering all the places you have seen like a movie.

“Beautiful Panoramic Spot...”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

Visited the place during my trip to Coorg.

Mandalpatti hills are located around 25- 30 km from Madikeri town en route to Abbi falls. A right deviating road from Abbi Falls will lead to Mandalpatti. There is no bus facility yet. One has to take /hire a vehicle(a 4x4 is advised due to the road condition). We hired a jeep for the trip to Mandalpatti(cost us Rs 1400)

On reaching the base of Mandalpatti we took entrance tickets, before trekking up the hills(Make sure to take water and food along as there are no shops around there). Once we were on the top of the hills the beauty of Mandalpatti was unwrapped. There is also a view stand erected where you can sit and gaze at the distant hills and valleys. The far stretching green mountains and the cool breeze definitely made us feel like we were in heaven.
If you have just heard of the word called "serenity" and not experienced it, then this is the place which will fulfill your wish. When you reach there you will get lost in the beauty of the nature and you will start admiring each and every single plant over there. Its all about enjoying the nature and its creation.

Note: Please do not litter this place. There are waste-bins to throw your garbage.
You can also find a details post of my coorg trip in the COORG forum.
