We were 2 couples & 3 kids on a driving tour. Our visit to coorg was the centerpiece of a lovely trip planned in a hurry. We were fortunate to connect with Thimayya and our 4 night stay in cottage Rustica at Victorian Verandaz, was everything we imagined it would be and more. Diana & Thimayya were warm, helpful and gracious hosts. We had a lovely time tramping around the estate with Thimayya personally and his staff, who were as welcoming and helpfull as our host. The Kids learnt and saw a lot,the idiot box was'nt required. If it's peace tranquility & green vistas with lovely food & folk you are looking for,go right ahead.Would recommend it to All. Ours was a memorable time.
A special mention on Diana's cooking...Awesome!!

We booked cottage with attached kitchen for 1 night to check how it feels to cook and stay in home stay with coffee plantation. We had great fun and cooked food and had amazing time.

Owners are very good and friendly. You can walk into more than 100 acre plantation and a amazing waterfall inside the plantation. Since rains has started, wait for few days and then can enjoy the tracking. I you like to spend time relaxing, then it is a ideal place.

We were absolutely sure we didn't care for resorts or hotels when we visited Kodagu. This long awaited trip we wanted nothing else but a cozy homestay. After a brief search we settled for VV- and what an experience this has been!I am not sure whether Kodagu delighted us more or the VV!Thimaiah and Diana - your perfect genial hosts- pamper you with their affable hospitality- and the home cooked Kodava delicacies! The estate is all green serenity- all you hear sitting in the veranda is soft chirping of birds; frogs take over come dusk, but the tranquility prevails, as time seemingly comes to a halt! At the end of the day you didn't want to end, you retire to the cozy cottage bed only to start afresh the next morning- inhaling the crisp air with the Kodagu coffee aroma! When your visit here has to end, you go home with a new friendship- with Kodagu, and with your hosts-Thimaiah and Diana...

Room Tip: Here you have a choice of "rustica" and cottages- ask Thimaiah or Diana for details. But m...

Luckily when we planned for Madikere trip, we got to know about this fine homestay or rather a resort from one of my friend Mr Kumar. Really thankful to him for such a wonderful suggestion..
We expected we would stay at the homestay for few hours so we need not worry much on the place.
When we reached the place, Victorian Verandaz, it turned all our thoughts upside down. We decided to stay at the estate rather going anywhere out of estate. It was the best choice we had made..
As per us, we were in Jungle... Such a beautiful place inside the heart of nature. No manual intervention at all... We really appreciate Mr Thimmaiha and Mrs Diana for maintaining the place so neat and tidy.
You guys made our 3rd anniversary truly memorable. You made us the place so close to heart. My wife was feeling homesick even after we reached our home back in Bangalore... :) You realy made us feel at home..Thanks a ton for such a wonderful hospitality.. We are truley overwhelmed.
We have promised ourselves that we will visit Vistorian Verandaz soon..

Will post photoes soon..

Room Tip: You will enjoy any room among the two.. :)

I thank all the guests who wrote fantastic reviews which made me to visit VV...We were looking for a Good Home stay for nearly 15 days.. felt very sad as we couldn't find out any Good Home stays within our budget:(Though i could find some, when i happened to read some of the guest's review (negative)), i was really in a oscillation to go ahead with those home stays...Surprisingly , when i found reviews abt VV there was not even a single negative point against it... which itself gave a first good impression about VV.. to be frank ,whatever reviews given about VV and C.C all are 100% true...No doubt about it..

We happened to stay in Rustica during May-2013 ,such an wonderful place ;) excellent hospitality.. peaceful atmosphere..awesome stay...very clean.. clear arrangements and neat instructions to keep the things in it's place..

Not only me ,my entire family felt very happy and fully satisfied during the stay... Unfortunately we missed to visit Coffee estate...Surely we will come back and visit VV soon...But definitely next time we will come to Madikeri just to stay in Rustica alone.. not to go anywhere outside..

Thanks to CC for your extended hospitality and care though we left your cottage, when we faced some difficulties on the way, you came all the way to make sure our safe journey :)

Rustica ,CC , Biju and Biju's family -I thank you all for making that short stay as a sweet one...:):):)

I had been there for a special occasion, Mrs.Diana and Mr. Thimaiah made that occasion more special. They helped and gave suggestions in planning our trip. The view from the room is very good, especially the sunrise and the green valley. The estate is more than 100 acres and is fully surrounded by greenery. The rooms are neat and clean. One can go there for relaxation leaving behind their hectic life.
