Fresh food, freshly cooked. Could be more tasty but at least it's fresh & clean.Excellent dosa/ cutlet in a/noon.
The owner could improve it a little & it would be fantastic. But he just sits & reads the newspaper & let's his loyal, underpaid staff do all the work.
Smelly toilets; shame.
We have eaten at least 50 times there & the only reason we get good service is because I tip well.

Thank Hooray H

This is one great place for food and we kept going back for more. ANd much to our hugest of surprises, the staff Mr. Muttapa kept his word to have kheema dosas ready for us on the morning we were leaving Coorg. That was way beyond expected ..it being a day they don't serve it I think and also it was pretty early in the day. Hats off to this place and its staff. And wow...the toilets are very very clean. My husband says the place is all that he remembered it to be from 25yrs ago. Wow

Must visit in Madikeri - if only to say that you have been there... this restaurant is extremely popular and well known through word of mouth.. was one of the best restaurants to eat out in madikeri for a few decades.. breakfast, lunch or dinner.. with family or friends.. or for a drink in the evening.. this is where local planters gathered...

Its very conveniently located on the madikeri-mysore highway just at the entrance of the town... the restaurant was shifted to a new adjacent building 5-6 yrs ago.. the facilities are very basic.. simple tables, chairs, cutlery... clean restrooms.. friendly service.. do not expect anything posh, luxurious or exotic.. they serve indian and chinese cuisine...a few dishes from local coorg cuisine.... veg and non-veg... .. alcohol is available too... its an all-day-dining restaurant.. the food is quite good.. and affordable.. approx. Rs.150-250 per person.. the kheema-dosa here is spectacular !! the best i have ever had.. the mutton cutlets are another popular dish....

the tourism boom in the last 7-8yrs has brought in huge crowds to the restaurant.. especially on weekends... its not uncommon to wait over an hour for a table on saturdays/sundays during lunch.. newer and better restaurants are present in madikeri today.. but the east-end hotel still retains its charm and is worth a visit...
