Summarizing it in points:

>> Cons:
1. Little far (Abt 25km) from Medikeri on the Virajpet Road
2. Road to the place is extremely poor/damaged and specially tavelling late evening would make you more tired.

>> Pros:
1. Once you reach there, stress drops down quickly.
Excellent Sleep Quality. You get up completely relaxed by the chirping of various kinds of birds
2. Very quiet, amidst-coffee plantation and friendly place
3. Family is very nice and friendly
They served us real good local coorg style food @250rs.p.p. and Rs.200 for driver (They say they usually do not serve drivers but since it was too late...)
Breakfast was amazingly delicious and mouth-watering.
4. Owner Mr.Medappa and his son walked us through their plantation and explained about various things they grow. It was good close look at differnt kinds of plants and flowers.
5. The room is decent size (with regular TV) and EXTRA LARGE bathroom with Sunroof.
The place was clean and basic amenities like water jug, towels, soap, Linens and blankets were there.

Overall, its worth going if you like peace and want to spend time exclusive with nature and your company. The cost was slighlty higher as compared to Club Mahindra where we stayed otehr 3 nights (looking at so many addons like pool, health club other activities)...

I'd highly recommend this for 1/2 nights who are visiting coorg for 3/4 nights.

We travelled as a group of 6 friends. We reached late in the night after visiting some places on tha way. House owner guided us over phone patiently to reach the homestay safely. This place is in the middle of coffee plantation with beautiful surroundings. It was very silent there..we could hear only bird and insect sounds when we step out of cottage :) ..What a fresh feeling it was.. House owners were very friendly and approachable. Food preparation was fantastic, both breakfast and dinner. We had complete privacy and a great time there! I am sure this will be a great place for a family to visit, as I may plan for one soon :)

I was lucky to get a one-room to some mix up and it was awesome, well furnished, clean, nice bathroom with a huge shower stall, fresh towels, better than expected toileteries, beautifully lit if you could figure out the complicated panel of 10 buttons. The reading lights have a switch of their own that I needed time to work out. Huge LCD TVs are wall mounted in the drawing and the bed rooms. The bed linen was clean, no smells, stains. Such level of cleanliness is very refreshing and rare in most Indian places, so I need to give extra brownie points to the place on this one. Sleep quality wise- I did not like the bed, it was too soft for me and I ended up getting a back ache, but it may just be my problem. There is a also a huge dresser and a wardrobe. The place was so well designed and rooms so well appointed, I wanted to move in. It also had a little patio sit out. The only sad part was they dont deliver coffee/tea to the room, so I missed a patio breakfast opportunity.

Nice place with loads of greenery . If I remember correct this place was 20-25 minutes away from main Medikeri market, still its cost effective and full of silence. House owners are also nice and rooms were really maintained. Only 2 rooms available at this place to book the front one :) . Lot of space was available at that time for car parking.

Actual date of visit August 2011.

By far, one of the best experiences I had in a homestay. We travelled as a family (Me, Spouse & 1 kid aged 8yrs.We stayed there for 4 days & 3 nights. The beautifully done cottage amidst the coffee plantation is a treat to the eye. It's just the perfect resting place, away from the hustle and bustle of city life.Food was another great plus - we were really pampered with really good home cooked food - a real boost after the long journey from Mumbai via Bangalore. For breakfast we were served with paput with veg curry, kara bath, homemade butter with bread and jam, milk & coffee.for dinner we had rice roti , coorg pepper chicken, veg pulav, chicken curry coorg style, pumpkin curry & fry, ashgourd curry, other vegetable fry & for dessert we had rice payasam coorg style. Mr.Medappa and his family really took pleasure in making our stay comfortable in every way, and the best part was getting to know such nice human beings, who do their work with love and sincerity. This is such a rarity nowadays. Would love to go and stay with them again, the next time we head towards Coorg
