We tumbled up naladi after doing a quite a bit of research. As all the other reviews suggest the best thing about the place is the food cooked by Reshma. Oh god it is one of the best i've ever eaten. Suman the host is amazing he plans the holiday as per your requirement and suggests various options as to what all you could do. We were 8 and some of the best times of our life. The place is so clean and well maintained . All you can hear there is the river that flows right by the bunglow and the noises made by the insects in the coffee plantations. Go with your friends or family, you'll have a lovely holiday. And to top it all its not that expensive as well.

Cheers

Our stay in Coorg and Naladi Holidays was truly amazing. Suman, the host, ensured our stay went smoothly. From arriving in Madikeri, he ensured us that a car would be pick us up and bring us to the homestay, which was about a 45 minute drive from the main city. Upon arriving at the homestay, we were amazed by the breathtaking views of the hills and river that flows right in front of the house. The homecooked food was some of the best food I had in India. Suman made sure that all of the things we wanted to do were arranged from trekking, to swimming, to seeing his coffee plantation, to going to the wildlife preserve. This was an excellent escape from the busy city. I can't wait to go back. Was by far the best views we saw in Southern India.

Naladi Holidays was truly an unexpected, wonderful surprise during our trip around India! Indeed, the surroundings were beautiful and quite peaceful in Coorg and the reason for the great recommendation from an Indian friend. However, what made Coorg special was the our great homestay at Naladi Holidays because of our warm and kind host, Suman, and his family. Suman definitely took care of us, from arranging a taxi to pickup us up early in the morning from the Madikeri bus station when we first arrived, throughout our entire trip, as well as helping us arrange our transportation back to Bangalore. He also made sure that we were having a good time and were able to do all the activities we wanted to do including trekking, swimming, having a tour of his coffee plantation. Also, accomodations were great, with clean and spacious rooms. And the food was probably the BEST I have had in India, cooked by Suman's wife. You can't go wrong with her AWESOME home-cooked meals! The whole experience was great and I can't wait to visit again in the future! One of my favorite spots in India! =D

Our stay at Coorg Naladi was truly exceptional. The host, Suman, took great care in setting up our arrival from the nearby town of Madikeri, having a driver pick us up at 5am. He arranged for the driver to take us around town and also for a guide to take us trekking. Suman himself took us on a tour of his own coffee plantation. His wife cooked us the most amazing food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We were treated with such kindness and respect the entire trip. The setting was beautiful, with mountains and rivers nearby and the plantation was lit up with fireflies every night. It was my favorite destination in India and would definitely return.

This was one of my favorite parts of India. The host, Suman, is exceptionally kind and spent much time making sure that our accommodations were comfortable and that our stay was exciting. The house and rooms were very nice and there was an incredible view of the mountains from the lounge! Also the food was incredible- without a doubt the best Indian food I've had in India- the coconut chutney was unbelievable! There are great places to swim, hike and trek nearby, and the weather is perfect for it.

The cottage here at Coorg Naladi is cozy, comfortable and clean. The hosts, Mr. Suman and his wife, are really warm people and took care of all our little requests. He also would go that extra mile and draw route maps on paper for you before having you go out and explore the place - as good as GPS I can tell you that! The food was great and the view from all directions in every balcony was a spectacular green.

Finding this place from Madikeri might be a bit of challege. However follow the directions from his website while it is still bright and sunny and you will be able to make it. Only Airtel and BSNL connections work there - in case you are relying on getting directions from him over phone (which btw he patiently guides you with).

There were power cuts which were handled by the backup. However what else would we expect in a place so tucked away from the cemented world :) All in all I would highly recommend this place to all those who wish to explore Coorg's country side.

Room Tip: The cottage has 3-4 rooms on the first floor and 2-3 people can share each room. The hosts live on t...

We booked at Naladi Holidays homestay for 6th April and 7th April, 2012. But due to lack of power overnight, and problem in getting hot water we had to just leave the place after just 1 night.

We spent good 2 days at Kabini, and came on 6th April evening to Naladi Holiday. We expected a peaceful vacation of 2 days in cool and some of the deepest parts of Coorg. After seeing lot of good reviews here, we booked at Naladi holidays. But what resulted was only disappointment, and we had to start from Coorg a day before the plan.

The whole night we had to suffer without fans and we had to use bathrooms in the darkness with small children. If you have a driver, it is a little bit of a problem to get good food nearby.

This was a big disappointment for me. We go for a vacation once in a while to be a bit relaxed without all the day today worries of power, hot water, seapage, etc. But if we meet such problems when we stay somewhere, that really is disappointing.

Room Tip: Do not go for the Rs.1750 room. It has a pipe that goes through the room that creates seepage.
