“A Parents Perspective”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2013

I have 2 sons presently attending this academy. They have been there 6 months and will be returning in October. The school has been excellent in answering every single question I as a concerned parent have had. The boys are having the time of their lives and making friends from every corner of the planet. The environment is very safe and the Chinese people have been so gracious to them. I have seen my boys grow in confidence, and the smiles never leave their faces as they share their experiences through skype. Their room is quite large and adequate, the food has been very good. They love visiting Muping and Yantai on the weekends. They had no previous martial arts training. Seeing video of them performing Kung-fu as well as they are is mind blowing! Don't hesitate to send your kids there, the training is first rate, the price is reasonable, the area is beautiful and the skills and memories will last a lifetime. My youngest son can't wait to graduate highschool so he can go!

“used to be good, not anymore”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012

unfortunately I have seen kunyu mountain martial arts academy decline so fast. the training is basic, but if you are looking for an authentic experience look elsewhere! most who attend are lazy, unmotivated, basic martial art practitioners, looking to show off a few skills to there friends back home. the food is satisfactory, but by no means nutrients filled! usually there are 2-3 people per room there. older students aren't treated well, so think twice before handing over 5000 dollars to the headmaster. the truth... there are so many academys out there in china, im not saying don't go to this one, but think twice as i have stayed here for along time, and seen 95% of people regretting coming, or saying they could have achieved more somewhere else!

“great kung fu school in beautiful scenery”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2012

Kunyu itself is a beautiful national park, but the main reason for coming here is training kung fu. The school is specially set up for western students, if you would like more information, visit www.monkeystealspeach.co.uk

“If you know Quanzhen, you got to come here”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 7, 2011

It is the birthplace of the religion "Quanzhen", something has to do with Tao. The best time to visit is in spring when there are not so many bugs and mosquitoes.
