We stayed at The Danna from 30th april till 2nd of May 2017.
I got a birthday surprise from the hotel to receive a birthday cake with fruits and champagne delivered to my room.
When they get to know that I had missed the chance to enjoy their beautiful pool and Jacuuzi due to early outing and late return. They had arranged for me to continue to use the hotel facilities even after check out and even provide me with a shower room at their Danna Spa after my swim.
The housekeeping team up keep the room daily and every time I return to my room it is in tip top condition.
Like the view, the facilities, the friendly and helpful staffs.
Location is good and with such supet service tourist could consider booking late flight and plan to go sky cab and sky bridge after check out and even the 7 well waterfall then request hotel for shower facility this will make your last day at langkawi fruitful and memorable.
Though room charge slightly higher but worth the money will definitely come back!

We had a long holiday weekend and wanted to explore a new beach destination and chose Langkawi as one of the must visit places on our checklist. With our short time, we wanted to make sure we chose the right hotel so we just kept it simple and lazily chose the number one hotel on the Trip Advisor list, thus The Danna was our choice.

Overall, we were underwhelmed by Langkawi overall as we had expected more upscale, better pristine beaches and much more developed. However, what made up for this was the amazing and superb experience we had at the hotel at The Danna. The experience and service overwhelmed us and exceed our expectation in all manners, starting first with the welcome Back And Shoulder massage while waiting for the check-in process and kept all through our 3 days there which included surprise sunglasses cleaning while we were chilling by the pool to great kid club activities and facilities. The hotel really is 5 star in facilities and service yet non pretentious and not stuffy at all, truly one of the best we have experiences we have had across our travels in the region. Great job to the team at The Danna!

As for Langkawi overall, I think there are better places if you are looking for a great beach experience. Urge people to explore your options before settling on Langkawi.

As a trainee who went for internship here for 4 months everything was beyond perfect as per the department that we went had grown us and polishes our skills in the hospitality industries. There were few things that had amazed us during this period of internship in such great environment that you were immersed in people that took your Con's into Pro's.
First of all, i do hereby would like to say THANK YOU to every staffs that worked with us during our internship.Especially,F&B department that involving Ms Qistina (Outlet Manager) who really shows that position doesn't matter in an outlet.She worked the same amount as her staffs and sometimes even more. To be honest, she is the first ever manager that we had met that really sacrifices so much for the hotel. Besides, she treated all her staffs very positively that make us even better while performing our tasks,and her attitude is an A+++++ which had motivated us every single day. We really appreciated what Ms Qis and her team had told & taught us during this period. Not the forget the team involving are Ms Syifa, Mdm Wahidah Mdm Ilah Mdm Tyla Ms Suhaila Ms Meysi Ms Bella Mdm Ros MdmAnis Ms Thing and also Mr Michael Mr Fuad Mr Jass Mr Muaz Mr Fredino Mr Rayan Mr Firdaus Mr El Mr Syafiq (short) Mr Syafiq (tall & new) Mr Aidil Mr Zul( Bar) Mr Asroy Mr Kartik Mr Paolo Mr Arasu. What I liked most about this hotel was people. Every single person working in the hotel showed hospitality from heart. Smiles and caring words and everything was never superficial! I was watching the staff members who waited at the swimming pool from the second floor library and I could tell they were so deligent and sincere about the work. They provide relaxed but gently caring atomosphere. Luxurious but not insolent. I would like to go back to this hotel when I go to Lankawi again.

Room tip: Rooms facing the harbor offers no view but price very very reasonable.

If you want a holiday you will never forget, if you want to experience what quality and customer service which merits an accolade well beyond 5 star feels like, look no further than the superb, superlative and inimitable Danna. From the moment you are greeted upon arrival until the moment you are waved off with care the experience is truly superb. The service is personalised beyond belief, nothing you request is forgotten or too much trouble, the customer intelligence though unobtrusive is just amazing. I have never been anywhere and made to feel so welcome and special. The location is laid back and lovely in a quiet little bay The rooms are to die for, the seating options for sunbathing or just lazing in the shade are amazing and the amenities just first class. Everything about this hotel is polished and first rate. I have travelled the world over and do not return to many places because there is a big world out there. The exception is the Danna, once you have experienced this wonderful hotel, you will yearn to go back. The options for dining at lunch time and dinner are varied with the lively laid back Straits and Co, lunch and tea room style restaurant, the elegant and fine dining experience of the Planter's restaurant and new addition of the chic Terrace Italian restaurant all of equal and impressive quality. The menus are very varied with fine dining of the highest quality, cooked and presented beautifully and served impeccably The Verandah bar is a great place to kick back, meet for Happy Hour or pre and post dinner drinks in a sophisticated but lively atmosphere. The staff are wonderful, friendly, smart and funny and make great cocktails and help make any occasion a memorable one. The Spa... well the treatments at Danna Spa are the best I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. But what really makes this hotel is the superb management, well trained caring and genuine, ever helpful and attentive staff. From the General manager Mr Pascal Masse, his excellent management team, to back office, front of house, concierge services, food and beverages, spa and room service, bar and pool attendants and gardeners, the effort and efficiency is just unbelievable and to be applauded. If any hotel group/hotelier struggles with consistency of customer service go and visit the Danna. No-one could fail to be impressed. My favourite hotel worldwide, intimate, classy... just heaven. The addition of the new luxury villas no doubt will add another dimension of luxury to this already stunning and faultless hotel.

Room tip: Sea View or Marina View Grand Merchant or above are just stunning
