A world class boutique hotel set atop a hill with the most stunning views. room 4 and 5 have nearly 360 degree views. Cedric the owner and Harry almost make you feel like you are a guest in their home, nothing too hard or difficult. Make sure you do the private island day trip or even stay a night if offered, the best beach i saw in the Seychelles was ther and you have it to yourself almost. The food is delicious, the hamburger one of the best ever! A small but adequate wine list. None of this comes cheap, but well worth it for a special occasion.

Room Tip: 4 and 5 have the best views and are larger.

Chateau de Feuilles is an immaculate boutique hotel experience – from the hilltop hot tub down to the cocktails (try the pina colada!).

Cedric has done a marvelous job to make the Chateau a private little paradise for the guests staying in one of his 9 rooms; and Harry makes sure you are well taken care of every second of the day.

From the minute you step onto the property, your breath is taken away by the beauty of the place. There is a nice surprise welcome set-up of your room. Much work has gone into the attention to details: the rooms are designed from local natural materials, the bathroom is fully stocked with L’Occitane amenities, and the food uses ingredients grown at the on-site garden.

The meals were always something to look forward to. The breakfast included homemade jams, honey and yogurt, a full bread basket, fresh-squeezed juices, fresh tropical fruit, French cheeses, local smoked fish, eggs any style, and a variety of meats.

Dinner is a four course meal that includes several local ingredients. Dishes include local fresh fish and vegetables from the hotel garden. Breads are baked freshly on-site. The wine list has a fine selection of both South African and French options. Desserts were a highlight. Overall the food is lightly salted, which we love, since we hate food that is too salty.

The rental car that is provided is excellent for getting around Praslin and visiting the beaches. We enjoyed Anse Lazio very much. La Digue also had some very beautiful beaches such as Anse Source d’Argent.

However, the real treat of staying at CDF is the private island excursion. Grand Seour Island was beyond our dreams. The snorkeling was one of the best I have ever seen and the beach side was out of a movie set. A lunch barbecue is included with the excursion. The team grilled an entire red snapper and job fish which were delicious.

Chateau de Feuilles made our perfect honeymoon…you will come home rested, relaxed, and with a great tan. Thank you Cedric, Harry and the Chateau staff.

Room Tip: Room 10 is at the end of the Jr. Suites, so it borders beautiful granite boulders.

I travelled to the resort in June 2012 and the experience was beyond AMAZING. I'm definitely looking forward to go back again.

I stayed in the resort for five days. Before Seychelles, we had been to Pankor Laut in Maylaysia, Hawaii, Maldives, Sanya, Bali, Australia and I have to say the ocean view at the resort and the beaches on Praslin Island were THE BEST, unparalleled.

We always like small and private resorts. Cozy, well designed, top notch service. This resort has everything and beyond. We stayed in the largest villa with two bedrooms for us three. LOVED IT. Look at the pictures on their official website and you know what? The actual room is 100% better than the picture and virtual tour on the website even the visuals already look extremely stunning. The beauty of the resort is beyond words and cannot be captured by cameras. The staff cleaned the room every time we left the room. The reception staff were super friendly as well and they helped with preparing the towel and baskets and such. They planned our trip to other islands too and were very considerate.

We were offered a complimentary car rental service but my dad was not used to driving on the left side so we had a small car accident when we drives on the hill but the insurance covered it. Then the staff offered us complimentary driving service which was really nice. Thank you.

The restaurant was the best on Praslin Island and was better than the restaurant we had on La Digue. We had a full board, including dinner and breakfast. Very tasty food and very romantic atmosphere. The chef talked to us during each meal and we felt like good friends during the stay.

The garden was very nicely designed and the starry night at the resort made you think you were at a real paradise. The stars were so close that I even thought I could touch them.

I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS RESORT. Will come back again!!!

Our family visited Praslin in December 2013. As this lodge rated as one of the top lodges in the Seychelles, we decided to pay a visit. I phoned them and asked them if people not staying at their lodge are welcome to come have a drink or use the restaurant. They advised me that we could come for a drink provided that it is before 5pm. We planned our second to last day to ensure we were at the lodge at 3pm. I have no problem with certain lodges not welcoming outside guest but lying about this fact is unacceptable and unforgivable. This was the fact with Chateau de Feuilles. When we arrived at the lodge (after carefully planning our schedule and arranging transport to the lodge) we were treated disgracefully. They told us to walk to restaurant, which we had to search for as the staff at reception only pointed us in the direction of the restaurant. After arriving at the restaurant we were not really welcomed, and did not feel welcome there, as if we imposed on them (after I phoned and asked we were welcome). My sister asked to use the restroom and was denied. The excuse was that they were working on it. After that we explained that we do not mind what state the restrooms are in or even if we could use the staff restrooms as it was an emergency. They just said sorry and they cannot help us. We had to leave and search for facilities outside of their lodge. I do not believe that a 5 star hotel can not have one toilet on their property available to guests. I advise chateau de flaw to rather be honest and advise outsiders (as the labelled us) that they only cater for guests staying at their hotel. The only words that come to mind is truly disgraceful.

My wife and were on a day trip to Praslin and happened across the Chateau de Feuilles as we drove around the spectacular coastal road. The west side of Praslin is just heavenly, lunch at the Chateau de Feuilles was one of those experiences you will remember for a long time.

The footprint is small, but what a magnificent location. The small bar has an uninterrupted view over the turquoise ocean high up on a cliff. Harry the barman, was immediately welcoming, friendly but professional. We spent a very pleasant hour having pre-lunch drinks just soaking up the ambiance. We ate a delightful lunch overlooking the swimming pool and distant view. Just heavenly. Not cheap, but as Harry explained there a only nine rooms in the hotel, all looked like idyllic thatched cottages. The whole set up was just perfect. If you are looking for somewhere to stay on Pralin for a few nights this would take some beating. Ideal for honeymooners I have no doubt.

We spent 6 nights at the Chateau. Took us a lot to get there given we are from San Diego, CA. When we were checkin in my card didn't go through and they politely informed me and told me not to worry about it and "we will deal with it later". It was not brought up till we were checking out. I have read some reviews before and I was prepared for this feeling of this place trying to get money out of you whichever way they can. How wrong was that! They are so relaxed about the whole thing. Yes, you pay a lot for the room, and yes if you order lunch there it is very expensive. But there is soooo much free no pressure stuff. They give you free champagne on the first and last night (too bad i don't drink). They give you random gifts, like bag, candle, set of pens and so on. You get free bottles of water in the room. They feed you a lot of food, we had breakfast and dinner included. Food is amazing, breakfast was to die for. They have little herb garden, vegies come from local market, fish comes from fisherman every morning. They bake their own bread, make their own preserves. You get free tee with cookies after 5:30, they bake those daily and they differ every time. Stuff is sooooo friendly and what comes across very clearly is how much those 20 people love their hotel. They love it and they are proud of it and they just want you to be happy and man all of us were just so happy. Everywhere you look you see a smiling face. The place is so romantic. Views are wonderful. Yes there is no beach access which was a bit of a disappointment, but it just works out fine. They have great pool. The pool was like no other pool I have ever been in and I have traveled a bit. The water is so clean I actually drank it. I don't know why i did that but i just really wanted to after I got in it. To say you feel refreshed after you take a swim in it is to say nothing. The day beds by the pool are so comfy! And once to lay on it-they bring you water, there are towels provided. Pretty much all your need are taken care of. You literally feel like your well being is the most important thing to these people.
Place is very clean and they clean it while you are out so you are never disturbed in your room, your privacy is very important.
Place belongs to the family and one of the family members, Cedric, is the one who runs it. To say that Cedric takes pride in this place would be an understatement. The hotel is his baby. He gives attention to everything and no expense is spared. The design is amazing, every chair, lamp, plate, candle, cookies jar is something you want to take a picture of. All blends in the nature perfectly and you are literally in this wild nature world on the island in the middle of the ocean and you are being treated in a 9 star place. We did not want to leave and we will for sure be coming back.
Our expectations were topped with the reality

p.s. and the trip to Sister island, which belongs to the family as well, was amazing: the island itself, the boat ride, the bbq that they prepared, the tortoises. Snorkeling was rough, and BRING BEACH SHOES, i got beat up with those rocks when you enter the ocean. But honestly, the whole experience was so amazing between the water, the nature, the air and the company that i really didn't care that much about the scratches. However, beach shoes would be nice.
