We went twice over three days with two big groups of friends. Kids and adults were all very well looked after. Great food and service. Would go again tonight!!!!

On a cold winter's night in Hanmer where better to head to but an Indian restaurant. We had not eaten in a branch of Corianders before and on the strength of this visit, probably won't again. No-one to great us on arrival so made our own way to a table for two - these are incidentally the least attractive of the seating locations, being squeezed against the wall between the toilets and the kitchen. Water was brought quickly. Our first course was Tandoori lamb chops which were disappointing. Heavily salted these were overcooked and too chewy. Mains were a Lamb Jalfrezi and Aloo Jeera. The lamb was ordered medium but was too hot - yoghurt was needed to cool it down to an acceptable level. The potato curry was dry and uninteresting. Rice was perfectly cooked and a generous serving provided. Staff continued to keep us supplied with water. An unsatisfactory evening.

The best Indian restaurant I have been to in a long time. The takeaway meals served two hungry adults easily and were excellent in all respects. Service is great too. Highly recommended.

We ordered 3 garlic naan breads @ $4 NZ each, each one could easily be shared between 2 people it was huge! We also got the Chicken Posht @ $20, Chicken Bhuna Masala @ $19, Chicken Biryani (a rice dish) and Lamb Vindaloo @ $21 they also came with a big bowl of rice to share. My 8 yr old got the kids menu for $20 which included Mango Chicken, Chicken Tiki pieces, a chocolate naan bread and a glass of coke. We found it to be really good value and the food was amazing. The staff are really friendly and efficient. Would definitely eat there again.

Staff attentive, venue pleasant. Food above average Indian food for NZ.
Be advised that Entertainment card not valid at this restaurant - again a mistake in the book as valid at their other 3 restaurants around Canterbury only. Disappointing as my only reason for booking here was thinking it was valid as we would otherwise have booked one of the top reviewed restaurants on Trip Advisor. However, we did have a pleasant evening and the food was enjoyable.
