“Sunday afternoon very disappointing”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

As a local we have visited the Bohemian Bungalow 6 times since they have opened. Great venue but this afternoon was a huge disappointment. We were lured due to Bagdad Cafe playing from 2 to 4 pm. Organised a table of 6. The service was average and we were all excited by the menu butt failed to deliver. Intersting we were given a lunch menu not a taps menu. The calamari dusted in polenta was undercooked, the Cinderalla Whatever pizza was undercooked, with steamed not roasted pumpkin, the little piggy went to Paris was the pick of the menu or maybe the French fires with aioli was the best dish. Although we were all hungry we didn't eat it all.
Okay have tried to,support this local establishment but total embarrassment when 2 other guests arrived at 2.30 had a drink (orderd an expensive bottle of wine) and finally ordered from the the tapas menu 2 to4 and were told at 3.40- pm the Restuarant had closed!!
Well they drove to Moolaba for an early dinner.
We have tried to support this local restaurant but frankly over it now! a big pity for,Eumundi.
Happy to,chat about this as we would, love you guys to get better.

Thanks for taking the time to write this review. Sorry that your visit with us was so disappointing. Perhaps that 'chat' with us would have been a more appropriate way of communicating with us, but you obviously needed this forum to vent. We offer a full lunch menu from 12pm and a tapas menu from 2pm on a Sunday, all you need to do is ask if you'd like to order from the tapas menu earlier.
The calamari dish you refer to is cuttlefish and it is dusted in semolina not polenta. Cuttlefish is not cooked like calamari rings you see in many establishments.
To clarify your comment about the restaurant closing at 3:40pm, this is not the case. We offer music at our venue from 2 to 4pm. We have had patrons stay until 6pm. As we are located a small country town, our lunch & tapas service winds down from 3:30pm onwards depending on how many patrons are still ordering & eating.
It would be interesting to understand how your first 6 visits with us were and why you chose to only post your comments on the negative experience.
Sorry that you are 'over' the Bohemian, we know you will enjoy other establishments that will cater to your needs.

“A must visit”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

We visited this establishment twice in one day recently after a recommendation. The first time was for coffee. We sat at the front on a trendy sofa complete with sofa stools and quirky coffee tables. The coffee was delicious and our two little companions just loved the baby chinos. Water was provided without asking while we waited for our coffees. We were so impressed we booked a table for later that night. We were shown to a table outside in an area surrounded by a water feature and warming heaters. The presentation on our table was delightful with cutlery stored in a small colourful watering can on the table along with fresh flowers, candles and trendy placemats. We ordered a jug of cocktails to share (delicious and refreshing) along with pizzas. The pizzas were fresh and presented on a wooden board. We ordered two pizzas to share amongst three adults and it was plenty. The service was excellent - quick and friendly and our two young companions loved the children's play section in the corner. Toilets were unisex and large and clean. This is a popular place and booking is recommended especially on the weekend.

“Welcoming and sumptuous - delicious treats and visually delightful.”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

Last week a dear friend and I met for a long overdue catch up and lunch. We were welcomed graciously and immersed ourselves in the gorgeous and very comfy space. We were continually delighted by their quirky collections and feasted at a leisurely pace on a shared seafood plate and stunning salad.
We then had our desserts and chai in the cosy fireplace area. The staff were just delightful and the rose scented panacotta is divine. Looking forward to visiting when some of their funky musicians are playing to sample a different Boho experience. Loved it all.

“Brunch in a beautiful setting.”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

Had a late breakfast today, a busy market day in Eumundi. Was enticed in by the decor, fresh beautiful flowers on every table (hope that never changes, it made my day), but will return for the food. Different and interesting menu choices you don't see in other places, beautifully prepared, carefully presented and delivered with a smile. There aren't many places you get good service, good food and good ambiance at a decent price, but this delivered on all counts. Checked out the lunch and dinner menus on the way out for a return visit!

Also overheard a waitress explaining to the next table how her dietary issues could be catered for, you don't often find places so willing to do that.

Will be back to smell the flowers again soon.

“Great food, and nice atmosphere...”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

What a find in Eumundi!

Great food and good menu (not too extensive).. Had the mussels and the eye fillet - both done to perfection.

Enjoyed a Spansih Tempranillo which was reasonably priced, along with good service...

All round excellent restaurant experience - will be back next time I'm up this way...
