“Breakfast to wake-up for”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

As a frequent visitor to the Sunshine Coast it is inevitable that each time we visit we end up at the Eumundi Markets on Saturday morning. The routine has moved to mow being breakfast at Food@Eumundi then the markets.

The breakfast menu is just perfect to start a relaxing day with something to suit any taste. They tell me that all the food is fresh and local and it certainly tastes like it. The eggs are wonderful, the bread is so fresh and the speciality jams are exquisite.

The chef and staff here are really friendly and make you feel welcome. They know the menu and are happy to add or remove item of a dish to your taste.

It will take a lot to convince us that the start we have to the markets can be beaten.

“a lucky find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

arrived late into Eumundi having reserved a place that turned out to be closed, but lucky for us we came accross Food @Eumundi. Run by 2 very professional chefs, great outdoor setting near the roundabout in town. Salt & Pepper Calamari to die for, and a range of interesting grazing dishes. Service was better than one comes to expect in the area. Very welcoming , efficient service. Interesting breads and dips, and as others have said, really good coffee.
Will definitely be going back, just hope the same owners are still there

“Fabulous Coffee!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2013

The people at this little cafe are so nice, and the Vanilla Late's are to die for!
Best Late ever!!

3 of us went there for breakfast last weekend 2 days in a row due to participating in the Australian Body Art Carnivale being held at Eumundi Markets, and you couldn't fault the service, or the friendliness.

They showed us the local paper which 2 of us were in (we had not known about the paper considering we were not locals), and they even let us order something that wasn't on the menu.

The cafe next door-which presumably is in competition with Food@Eumundi, didn't see the patronage this little cafe did.

A well deserved review, and we will see you next year!!

“Must visit before the owner's sell”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2012

Being a local I admit to taking for granted what a special cafe we have right at the top end of town in Eumundi. Owners Scott and Jess are both well travelled, fully qualified chefs (ask Scott about working with Gordan Ramsey in London) who have taken the cuisine here to another level.

Absolutely must try the salt and pepper calamari - some of the best I have had anywhere in the world. There is a good selection on the menu and they cater to the breakfast and lunch crowd - particularly on weekends with nice weather when the town will fill each Saturday for the world famous markets.

Location is great, tucked in at the top end of the main street (Memorial Drive) with nice touches for the cooler weather including heaters and blankets to wrap around your legs. Coffee is excellent Toby Estate, and there is a good selection of muffins and cakes to choose from.

Service is always excellent with the young girls and guys attentive without being intrusive.

Food@Eumundi has been featured in a number of national foodie publications and it is not hard to see why. However as with most things in life the one constant is change, and with change can come opportunity. As Scott and Jess have decided to move on with the next stage of their lives, some one with some cafe savvy could buy this place at the top of its game, with all the work done and an established clientele.

The challenge will be to maintain the exacting standard that we spoiled locals have come to expect.

Highly recommended.
