This was by far the best place we stayed during our trip. It was my 30th birthday so we decided to splash out and spend a bit more than usual on accommodation and were so glad we did! The Eco Lodge was amazing! It was quiet (except for the feral cats in the middle of the night fighting!), we had the pool to ourselves and the staff were lovely! Breakfast was excellent! It was a bit of a walk back to town compared to other accommodation in the area but there are plenty of taxi's to get you home in the dark!
Do yourself a favour and spend the extra money to stay here!

Room Tip: The double rooms on the top level are fantastic!

Reminded me of Bali..Mancora is a dry place, so; Tom, the arquitect and lovely Cristina`s

Highly recommend it...no more than 10 min. away with a mototaxi, you can buy fresh fish at a local price en el muelle. Be an early bird and rush as early as you can, they arrive around 06:00, ask any local
for the Ceviche recipe, which they will be more than happy to help you, then go to the local veg. market, and get the rest of the ingredients, that will be an other experience added to your trip.

Room Tip: We rented the house which is few meters away of the main Lodge.. The house was quite..

The fact that we ended up staying here for a month instead of the planned 5 days is a testament to how much we loved it. The lodge and rooms are beautiful, Tom (the owner) is a fantastic host and also became a good friend of ours, Christina is an AMAZING cook (she prepares meals upon special request), the breakfasts are delicious, and the other staff are also very helpful and kind. It is just far enough away from the beach (5 minute walk from the surf break) to avoid most of the hustle and bustle and noise of the main town, but close enough to provide easy access anywhere. If you don't want to walk, a mototaxi to town is 75 cents. We often ordered food from the great variety of restaurants that they offer (seafood, sushi, Mexican, Italian). They are also very helpful with any trips that you want to organize, and have plenty of suggestions. Simply put, we would (and might) return here without hesitation and will recommend to all our friends.

As this hotel lies a bit off the beaten track and there were no signs to show the way it took us a good 45 minutes to locate the place. Our first reaction was one of disappointment as the image of our room showed sea view but it turned out that the sea is about 800 meters away. This place is located in a relatively quiet area with local residents and to get to the water you have to walk for 5 minutes. The silence is unfortunately ripped apart relatively often by passing motor taxis and barking dogs. Especially one, that you after 30 minutes of incessant barking are ready to strangle with your bare hands. The place in itself is very nice, stylish in a zen fashion and with friendly and helpful staff (despite our apparent disappointment upon arrival). Our room was relatively nicely done, especially the bathroom. Of the organic bread promised for breakfast we saw nothing, it was the ordinary stuff made of wheat and sugar. The hotel doesn´t have a restaurant but they have menus from restaurants nearby that delivers food to the hotel. The main avenue of Máncora is 5 minutes away by foot so other places are easily accessible. Room service forgot to clean our room one day but when we told the reception they took care of it promptly. Upon check out we were told that an extra 5 % (20 bucks in our case) would be added if we wanted to pay by credit card. This had not been announced anywhere, either in the hotel or through e-mails confirming the booking, which lowered the space a bit on departure. The place hovers between 3 and 4 stars but the niceness of the staff tips it over to 4. For those who want to stay by the beach, only chose hotels that are on the old Panamerican highway, not the Panamericana Norte. There is a hotel called Los Corales, an address relatively close to that hotel should be well located beach wise.

We stayed at ecolodge as part of a kitesurfing trip in Mancora, we were 4 adults in the suite on the top floor and enjoyed the view the natural wooden decor and views on the sea and the pool with terraces on both sides. The breakfast was good and all the staff was very helpful. I was perticularlay happy to be walking distance fron the center of Mancora and beaches and yet far away fron the main road whic is extremly noisy as it is the main highway...
