Seriously, everyone was really nice and the place was clean and secure. And they're green so that's a bonus. Close to many nearby attractions. Fantastic breakfasts, sunrise views from your window or their main balcony (complete with hanging hammock chairs), beach across the street, local flavor just steps away....what's not to like!?

We stayed at Luquillo Sunrise last April (sorry for the review only now) for couple of days, at least 3 if I remember it right. We had a very nice room on the first floor, with the French door to a cozy balcony overlooking the ocean. We slept with the door open, listening to the ocean -- there's a road in front of a hotel but there's no traffic --- an absolutely serene place with amazing views. The rooms are clean & nice, showers working, and breakfasts -- prepare yourself for a treat! You can eat until you drop, everything delicious and home made, with enough choices to satisfy anyone ... and the stuff, probably the nicest people on earth. We are into local culture, surfing, and exploring and Luquillo Sunrise is da place to stay & see this part of the island. It is safe, comfortable, beautiful and quiet. We really liked it there, thank you!

This was our second visit to the inn. The main draw is any one of rooms on the 2nd or 3rd floor (which all have a private ocean view balcony). The rooms are spotless with post-card views, the sound of the surf and a steady breeze. Included is a daily hot breakfast with fresh fruit, juice, etc.
Second is the outstanding staff. Sherrie, Damien, Maria, Heidi and Katie either know your "touristy" questions or know who to ask. I casually mentioned to Sherrie wanting to do a day trip to Culebra, and within minutes she had set everything up. If you're lucky Grace will be on the patio during breakfast, making jewelry. She is a fountain of local history.
Third is location, location, location. You're in the middle of small, friendly town. You can walk to several restaurants, sandwich shops, a liquor/beer/ice store and a bakery. You can walk to a "blue" beach, a surfing beach and a wildlife preserve beach. You're a 5 minute drive from the kioskos. You're a 20 minute drive from El Yunque. (You HAVE to go...go early before the tour vans get there).
We are alreday planning a January visit to be there for Three Kings.
(PS: Get well Gary, watch out the ladders!)

When we booked this hotel we were not sure about it; but what a surprise we got when we checked in and spent a few days!
The staff could not be more accomodating and personal; clean hotel, beautiful view of the ocean and very quiet, laid back and relaxing atmospheres just what we needed! I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking what we were above.
Great entertainment at night at the bar down the street!
Not to mention it is an excellent value! We'll be back soon!

The location was even better than I had hoped for. The town was very cute, quite, and safe with a few restaurants within walking distance. The beach was practically empty during our entire stay. All you could see for miles to the right was empty beach and jungle and to the left a calmer beach with a little reef. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The hotel is the perfect place for nature lovers who enjoy experiencing new cultures and activities such as snorkeling, hiking, lounging on the beach and cocktails on the balcony.
