When we went on our honeymoon, we stumbled upon this gem. It doesn't look like much but the service is superb. The owner gave us shot moonshine made by his cousin in the mountains. It was actually quite tasty. He was so incredibly friendly and inviting.
I'll make this short. EAT THE MOFONGOS. WE COULD NOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS PLACE. No matter what mofongo you get, you can't go wrong. The service alone is 5 stars, the food is 1000x stars. YUM YUM YUMMY is all I can say.
Now, I'm sad because I have been on the hunt for mofongos in the states and have not found anything comparable.
