This is a very good restaurant that is overlooked by most people. My guess is people walk by see the place is empty and keep walking. This is a mistake. The food, presentation, and service are all excellent. I had the Bolognese pasta my wife had a fish dish and both were very good. The waiters name is Axel and he is terrific.

“Found by accident”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2014

We were staying nearby at a parador/inn, and drove over for dinner to the kiosks. Walking along, we finally came to this one which was different... no loud music or pre-cooked food out front. It was a quiet week night, and we were the only customers. Our seafood came out in an attractive presentation, and was simply delicious; possibly the best food we had in Puerto Rico.
I had plenty of food in the mixed seafood appetizer + a shared order of coco rice. My tab was $14. If you're there, do try Kiosk #29. We sat inside, but the little patio looked very nice.

“Red Snapper Special”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2014

A year to the day since our last visit. The food was as excellent as before. Worth the wait and the prices are amazing. Whole Snapper for $13.95 an ample serving. This is my Fish Place at the Kiosks! Who said bland! All the sauces and dishes were superb.

“5 star taste, 5 stare presentation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2014

Never having been to Puerto Rico before, and knowing nothing about the food, we lucked into choosing the Osso Buco, kiosk along the kiosk strip in Luquillo. We chose it because it was relatively quiet, no blaring music or tv sports. We sat outside in the back patio, where we could hear the little coqui frogs chirp. It is VERY unassuming, so when the plates came out we were thoroughly enamored with the lovely presentation, worthy of a grand restaurant in a large city. Totally unexpected in a street kiosk!
The food was absolutely delicious, too, which made this evening a real success. Mofongo is mashed plantain, something like mashed potato, and delicious with the sauce that came with my chicken. Companions raved about their conch and their mixed seafood, and the italian dish was superb as well.
Please try the Osso Buco on your visit to Luquillo!!!

“Bland and Overpriced”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014 via mobile

I had read about the Luquillo Kiosks & was surprised to see how rough around the edges these restaurants are. We had limited time, as this was a quick dinner stop as part of a guided tour, so we quickly chose Kiosk #29 since it was the first stall we encountered that looked clean and didn't have fried food in the window baking under heat lamps. It had also been recommended by our tour guide for authentic Puerto Rican dishes.

We found the service to be indifferent, waited 40 minutes for our food, and ended up having to take our food to go because our group was moving on.

I tried the mofongo with chicken--bland, but ok. My friend really disliked the pasta bolognese--chewy meat and bland, greasy sauce. The meal cost around $40 for two entrees and soft drinks.

Also, the restroom was out of soap--never a good sign, food safety-wise.

If you're in the area I'd skip the Kiosks and seek out other options.
