We stopped here following my wife's nose for good food, which is rarely wrong. Along busy 3 from Ceiba toward Fajardo, it has a nice open porch dining area, which is pleasant despite some traffic noise. Notably, these nice folks opened early for us, and we didn't wait long for drinks or our meal.
I had the red snapper, fried whole with criollo sauce. My wife had the same but stuffed with conch. They had an unlisted side of arrozo con coco (coconut rice) which was an excellent companion. I almost never eat a whole fish, but this really ugly fish proved too delicious to resist! Crispy, golden crust revealed moist, flaky white flesh that easily teased off the bone with a fork.
My mom had the pork, fried with bone in, which was another excellent move as it made the flavor more succulent and rich.
We tried the cheese flan, a heavenly hybrid of cheesecake & custard.
Chef Felix clearly enjoys his work, & came out personally to check on us. He's as friendly as his food is yummy.
If you are anywhere on the Northeast side of Puerto Rico, don't miss Mi Terraza!
