“Incredible views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2014

The inn is charming and the views amazing. Lots of gentle animals ( dogs and cats) to pet if you wish. Trails abound and so do comfortable chairs. The breakfast was delicious with home grown fruits and juices, home made breads, and then the usual cereals, etc.

The owners are friendly and eager to enhance guests visit to the Inn and the area. We asked about the beaches and were given a hand drawn map that took us right to the beach area. The map was provided without being requested.

Rooms are attractive and clean. This is not a fancy place, but quite charming with lots of special touches. Our experience was a delightful one.

I must mention the other guests, they were interesting to visit with - quite a variety of backgrounds and interest. At the same time, we found guests can have the degree of privacy desired.

Coming soon, we learned today, is a large swimming pool. It should be ready before summer.

Room Tip: Plan to stay a few days to really appreciate the area.

You need a detailed map to get there but it' s really worthy.
15 min from the motorway, you find yourself in the countryside, on a hill with a nice view.
The accomodation is simple, clean, welcoming, the owners have some kind pets.
The ownly drawback is that you will have to take the car for having dinner at night...
Otherwise, it was a very nice experience in Ceiba.

Guided only by online reviews, we lucked out by choosing this property for our first-ever trip to Ceiba. Michael and Pedro and their staff are the perfect hosts and truly understand what hospitality is all about. The property is perched on a hillside a few kms from central Ceiba, which is a good thing is you're looking for some peace and quiet. Exiting the autopista, you drive on increasingly twisty, narrow roads through residential neighborhoods until turning into the property's steep driveway. Yeah, it's a scary drive the first time--but you get used to it. Coquis are pentiful here; I enjoyed their chirping which lulled me to sleep each night. I was more concerned with nearby crowing roosters but it was only a minor annoyance. Good-sized room, comfortable bed, and adequate bathroom. Good water pressure and hot water. Didn't have time to check out the free WiFi; comfortable mountain breezes meant we never had to crank up the A/C. IMPECCABLY CLEAN. In room mini-fridge, writing desk w chair, canvas bag loaded with beach towles and folding luggage rack are welcome bonuses! Plenty of patio spaces with chairs, lounges and hammocks. Continental breakfast has a good variety of choices. Great launching point for hiking in El Yunque National Rain Forest and drives along east coast. Don't miss getting a bite to eat from one of the food shacks (Kioskos) along the beach in Luquillo. Trying new foods is part of the fun and you'll be pleasantly surprised by how delicious it is!
The resident dogs are friendly enough to melt your heart Actually, they are almost too friendly. If you lay out in one of the lounge chairs on the outside deck the dogs will immediately climb on top of you and slobber all over your face. Clearly the dogs want you to know that the lounge chairs are THEIR territory. It's cute/slightly annoying.

Very cozy, friendly staff. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was big with sufficient lighting (which I have found not so great in other places). Takes a while to get hot water. Great, nutritious breakfast. Really friendly and playful dogs.
Great place to relax, it's off the beaten path and is quiet. You can listen to the Colqui put you to sleep at night.
Highly recommend, we will stay here again sometime.

The Country Inn is up a winding narrow road on a hill top. We were greeted by Ghost. He's a friendly young Lab. Our room #8 maybe the least favorite room due to the foot traffic on both sides. Plus it's under the second floor patio area. It was a bare-bones room. There was a small frig. Wifi didn't reach the room. There was a small table and 2 chairs. The bedside tables each held lamps. We removed the shades for better light. There was no TV. We had a hard queen bed with extra pillows. The shower was warm water.
The barking dogs made sleeping difficult. There were at least 4 dogs on the property.
Breakfast was OK.
We used this place as a staging for the next morning's ferry ride to Vieques.
I'm really not trying to hurt the owner's feelings but I do want other travelers to understand the conditions.

The inn located near the rainforest. So during the night, u could find lots of creatures such as little frogs, snails or even big spiders; and u'll hear birds and the coqui. The owner is very friendly and helpful. He has three cute dogs. This place will make you feel like home.
overall, this is a good place to stay for vacation.

We stayed here recently. It is a good looking B & B in an isolated area of Ceiba. Nine rooms away from the urban noise and touristy areas. However, you will hear birds and the coqui. A swimming pool is in the process of being built. You will need a car to get there and to move around as there is not much to do in Ceiba. Nearby towns such as Fajardo and Luquillo have more nightlife and restaurants. The Ceiba Country Inn is a nice place to relax and get away from everything. The breakfast is basic but good enough to take you through the morning. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel treatment with all the frills, then you will be in the wrong place. Otherwise, enjoy the tranquility and the nature around you.
