After a long day of driving in pouring rain, this B&B was exactly what we needed. The rooms were clean and friendly, the view was beautiful, and the host was very accommodating. This is a great place for families, couples, and solo travelers. Loved it!

This was a wonderful little place to stay! It is a ways out of Fajardo, which is what we wanted. You really do feel like you're in the country! :) We were there for at least a week, and loved every minute of it. The breakfast was great (ask about the juices of the day!), the property was well kept up, the rooms comfortable, and the staff were awesome! The AC in each of the rooms was a nice touch (even though we're from Tucson, it was still toasty in PR! :) ). We stayed in Room 7, which is on the back side of the building.

The Ceiba Country Inn is very close to El Yunque, Fajardo (ferries to Vieques and Culebra) and Humacao, so it is relatively close to some pretty popular parts of Puerto Rico.

When we go back to Puerto Rico to visit, we are definitely coming back to Ceiba Country Inn!!!

Then Ceiba Country Inn is a good candidate for your lodging in the eastern part of Puerto Rico. Sure, our GPS was rather helpful for finding the Inn nestled at the boundary of El Yunqué. I still remember our rental car climbing the steep and picturesque alley leading to the hotel. The next impression was the spectacular view of the trees, with the sea lining the horizon. Due to the odd hour of our arrival no hotel staff was around, but thanks to our phone call the day before we found written instructions, where to find keys to our room. The room was simple but cosy. As we were told: No TV, but we found a particularly nice arrangement of bed pillows and a bag with beach towels ready for use. At night it was really practical to close the window shutters: The conquí frogs were just too loud for our unprotected ears.
The continental breakfast was made "avec amour"; just what we needed before going to SCUBA-dive. Free wireless Internet was provided at lobby level, but did not work with my laptop in our room. During the day and in the evening snacks and refreshment could be purchased at the bar. For other meals we had to go to restaurants recommended by the hotel; the hand-drawn map (by the owner?) led the way.
If you don't want to limit yourself to the joys of reading (there is a small collection of books in the lobby), and if you have a car, the inn is ideally located for visiting all sights in Eastern Puerto Rico, including the beaches, the marinas, the islands Culebra and Vieques, and the rain forest of El Yunqué.

Nestled in the foothills of El Yunque National Rainforest, Ceiba Country Inn provides a peaceful (unless you are disturbed by the nightly chorus tree frogs) and relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of San Juan(about an hour away). In addition to exploring the waterfalls and giant bamboo groves of El Yunque, you can catch the ferry to Culebra for a day at the famous Flamenco Beach.(NY Times’ Six Beaches to see before you die!) Add to this, great hospitality and Michael’s complimentary continental breakfast with a great assortment of fresh fruit and homemade bread, you will not regret spending some time here. And it’s all at a reasonable price.

We stayed in room number 9 for one night. The room is very tastefully decorated, and it was very clean.

The breakfast was delicious, and the common room/eating area is a nice place to sit and read, watch TV, or just hang out. There is also a great patio with great views down the valley towards the sea.

There is a lot of foot traffic from other guests that go by on either side of the room, so in that respect, it was loud, but the most noise we experienced came from the coqui frogs. :)

I'd highly recommend staying at the Ceiba Country Inn. I only wish we'd had more time to enjoy the place!

I was very impressed with the Inn. Beautiful, large, comfortable room. Great view from our window out over the forested mountains to the ocean.

Directions to find the place were clear and easy to follow. We checked in mid-afternoon rather than late at night, and were glad we did, as finding it after dark would be more difficult. Winding, narrow mountain road leading up to it. Hey, to get away from it all, you have to get away!

In the lobby, they provide information on nearby restaurants and attractions, and have a whole binder on information about El Yunque (the rainforest), as well as other books you can borrow. They also had a sign that they have coolers, beach chairs, and beach towels (for rent, I'm assuming, though we didn't ask) which I thought was a really nice touch.

Breakfast was simple and delicious. A wide array of fresh fruit (oranges, kiwi, papaya, star fruit, pineapple, grapes, bananas) most (I think) grown on the property, an assortment of quick breads, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, and toast.

My only complaint was the water pressure in the shower, but my only wish was that I could have stayed longer than one night!

Room Tip: Rooms 1 and 2 have views of the ocean for sure!

This inn is nice and cozy. It has a great view, clean rooms and enough parking. The pets are a welcomed perk. I felt like I was at home. Breakfast was sufficient. The host was great. The sounds of the frogs at night was amazing

Pros: close to el Yunque and Fajardo. Better traffic than San Juan. Close to authentic food. About 45 min away from airport. Away from the big crowds.

Cons: To get there you must take a Small, winding road that can be scary at night. If you want to go to San Juan, you might end up in long traffic.
