What can I say, the hosts Joel and Dawn were wonderful and smiling and the stay was great!
Getting into Georgetown you'll perhaps be a little surprised that there is very little in the town. Restaurants amount to the one at the Inn (by far the best), Clam Diggers and a little diner in the back of the convenience store (which is really the shopping mall for Georgetown).
The food at the inn is spectacular. Joel, a chef, provided a possibility of Chocolate waffles, Shrimp Eggs Benny and some other great variation of Eggs Benny for breakfast. We didn't have a chance to stay for dinner or lunch but if they're anything like breakfast whoa momma I want to go back!
The couple recently took ownership and are looking to re-vamp it a bit, so while the decor is not your 'new modern look' it is definitely cute and cozy. All you would expect in a room is there: bed (ha!), tv, full tub/shower etc and most of the rooms have BIG windows letting in a ton of light.
The Inn is literally minutes from the Confederation Trail for all those wanting to get some biking in. And like everything else, if Georgetown isn't your thing, then stay at the inn and see other parts of Eastern PEI that are all within driving distance.

One phrase for this Inn: Come for the food, stay for the night!

We stayed in this Inn for 3 nights recently. The rooms are fantastic in every way - clean, comfortable, great bed linens, bedside lamps on each side of the bed, spacious bathroom, lovely extras such as nice quality soap, shampoo, lotion and mouthwash. The towels are wonderfully thick and plush and changed every day. There is a sitting area in each room, as well as on each floor. The main floor has a lovely sitting room for the guests use.

I can't say enough positive things about the food. The breakfasts are fantastic. You can choose from - e.g. smoked salmon eggs benedict, delicious scottish oatmeal, granola and yogurt and much more. There is always juice, coffee, fruit and toast.

The new owner, Joel Short, is also the chef. We had several dinners there and I would go back just for the experience of eating more of his meals. His fresh oysters were the best I ever ate.

Joel is also most helpful in suggesting itineraries and providing information, maps and other useful information for day trips. We will definitely go back!

This was our 1st experience at a BnB. It will hard to compare the standards were so high. The place was full the 3 days we were there. All were golfers!!! Great courses as close as 5 mintues. The hostess went out of her way to help book tee times. The food was great and lots of it. Our room (the Tartan) was cozy, warm and clean. Not much in Georgetown itself but is an easy drive to excellent golf, spa, lobster suppers and only 25 mintutes to Charolottetown. We stayed at another BnB near Cavendish, but it couldn't compare to the service and friendlyiest of the the Georgetown Inn. Keep up the the good work !!
