“Nice dog friendly beach”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

We took our dog to beach 1 (beaches 1 and 2 allow dogs). Very friendly atmosphere. For the $16 entry fee, I wish there were full bathrooms and garbage recepticals. On the warmest day of August it was not too crowded. Lots of nice clean sand.

“Worth it for the beach alone”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

Although I would come back for the beautiful beach alone, the rest of the park was great too! Very clean and well kept restrooms, showers and campsite areas. The park was full of other campers but there were no noise issues and lots of privacy. I definitely plan to return!

“Nice beach.”
Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

Took the afternoon recently to visit the provincial park. I took a nice long walk along the beach. Very warm water and nice sand. Great place to relax, take a long walk, hike, picnic, etc. If you need a break take a nice walk on the beach.

“I will never, ever stop loving this place...”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

I grew up near the shores of Lake Huron, so I am a little partial to the area anyway, but even of the beaches on Lake Huron, Pinery really stands out. The dunes and the tall grasses make for a much more serene and beautiful beach experience. Even when the nearby beaches are plagued with poor water quality or algae from farm runoff, the water at Pinery is usually clear and clean. You would be wise to bring a beach umbrella, but there is the odd patch of shade here and there. It has been years since I camped here, but I visit the beaches every year. If you live anywhere in Ontario and have never been here...you should definitely make a point of it.

“Great time”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

We love this park and camp there every year. We always stay at riverside campground area 4 because the outer campsites are very private. We have never had a problem with noise from other campers. This park is great for biking as it has an 14 km bike trail that takes you around the park. They also had daily activities as well as they have an outdoor theatre that they show videos on certain nights of the week. The beaches are beautiful clean and there are sand bars so water is quite shallow a ways out. We always bring our dogs because they have two dog beachs as well. Just remember the Pinery is a very busy park and for many sites expecially ones with hydro you need to book 6 months in advance. The only downside to the park is the restrooms they could be cleaned way more often then they are. For cheaper firewood and ice drive down the road toward Grand Bend there is a store across from the pinery flea market that is very cheap.
