“busy october day on a quiet road”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

We had a lovely lunch here yesterday. The food was fresh and the owners were coping admirably with an unexpected busy period! Having been in on the concept and planning of the Blue Shed I was very happy to see it thriving. We were 2 adults and 5 kids and we had a subsantial lunch with change from £40, which, these days, is'nae bad! The glorious sunshine was an unexpected bonus making the most of the fantastic view.

“Gorgeous lunch stop”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

Stopped here on the road to Elgol. Good number of tables outside. Amazing views - whether you're sitting inside or out. Good lunch menu with soups, sandwiches, toasties and a great range of coffee/tea and juices. Friend had a lovely scone and I had a sandwich. Possibly the best homous I've tasted, good quality bread, with homemade coleslaw and crisps on the side. Was delighted to find homous on the menu! There are a variety of photographs/cards for sale and lots of info on birds, walking and wildlife for reading as you relax and enjoy the food. The owners are friendly and happy to chat. A wee gem of a place.

“Spectacular Surroundings”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

We stopped at the Blue Shed Cafe by chance one day. This small cafe on the road to Elgol served simple but extremely tasty food.
The kids loved it and the owners were very helpful and friendly.
The homemade cakes were great too. Would highly recommend paying the cafe a visit for a snack after a hard days sightseeing or walking.

“Beautiful picturesque location”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

A lovely little oasis on the road from Broadford to Torrin/Elgol. The menu was not extensive, but more than adequate for a cafe of this type - and all home-made!
